Mechatronics / Technical Specialist

The successful candidate will be trained to understand and operate the company's specialised footwear manufacturing machinery and will progressively take on greater responsibility for technology implementation, process improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and develop a strong understanding of footwear manufacturing machinery and production processes.
• Provide technical support across mechanical, electronic and software systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machinery and technical issues.
• Work closely with production teams to improve machine performance and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies and automation.
• Assist with the implementation and integration of new equipment and technologies.
• Support continuous improvement and process optimisation.
• Liaise with equipment suppliers and technical service providers.
• Assist with machinery upgrades and technology projects.
• Maintain technical documentation and procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field.
• Understanding of mechanical, electronic and software systems.
• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good computer literacy.
• Hands-on and practical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Footwear machinery experience is not essential - full training will be provided.
