Operations Manager

• Lead the day-to-day technical and operational activities of the business.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate inspectors, technical personnel and operational resources.
• Ensure projects and inspection activities are appropriately resourced and delivered according to client requirements.
• Manage resource deployment and utilisation across multiple projects and client sites.
• Monitor operational performance, productivity and service delivery.
• Lead, manage and develop technical and operational teams.
• Conduct regular client and project site visits.
• Build and maintain strong operational relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Manage and resolve technical and operational escalations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Support compliance and operational readiness within regulated inspection and accreditation environments.
• Identify and implement improvements to operational processes, efficiencies and service delivery.
• Drive a culture of safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide operational reporting relating to project delivery, resources, performance and risk.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Minimum 5 years' experience within an engineering, inspection, NDT, asset integrity or related technical services environment.
• At least 3 years' operational leadership or management experience.
• Experience managing inspectors, technicians, engineers, QA/QC personnel or other technical teams.
• Strong resource planning, scheduling and workforce deployment experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects, contracts or client sites.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Working knowledge of quality management and HSE requirements.
• Strong operational problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proven people management and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Experience or knowledge in:

• Approved Inspection Authority (AIA) environments
• Statutory inspections
• Pressure equipment and Pressure Equipment Regulations
• SANAS or similar accreditation environments
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
• Asset integrity management
• Manufacturing or fabrication inspection
• QA/QC
• Conformity assessment
• Risk-based inspection
• Petrochemical, mining, power generation or heavy industrial environments

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on, technically credible Operations Manager who can effectively manage people, resources, projects and client requirements within a demanding technical environment.

The successful candidate will be a visible leader who is comfortable engaging with technical teams on the ground, visiting client sites and taking ownership of operational challenges.

You will need to combine strong people leadership with operational discipline, technical understanding and a client-focused approach.
