Quantity Surveyor (Cape Town)

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• B.Sc. Quantity Surveying/ BTech Quantity Surveying
• Proficient computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, etc.)
• CCS - Candy, BuildSMART
• 8 years’ experience on general or major construction sites involving the control of several activities
• Renewable / HV Electrical industry beneficial
• Cost control & commercial experience required
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Experience in renewable energy, substations, transmission lines, rail electrification or other HV electrical infrastructure will be advantageous
• Competence in cost forecasting, cost-to-complete, cash-flow forecasting, monthly commercial reporting and change control
• Experience in subcontract procurement, commercial administration, progress measurement, payment certification and final account close-out
• Working knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, GCC and/or JBCC forms of contract and applicable standard methods of measurement
