Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Matric Certificate
- Minimum 2 years' proven experience in an external sales role
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of the truck hire industry will be advantageous
- Valid Code 08 driver's licence (essential)
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate would be required, but not limited to;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and objectives
- Educate customers on company services, products, and industry developments
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry changes
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, customer feedback, and market intelligence
- Resolve customer queries and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
- Negotiate within approved rate parameters
- Obtain and process accurately completed credit applications
- Clearly explain all hire terms, conditions, and service offerings to clients
- Complete all required administrative duties, including quotations, credit applications, customer records, and reporting
