Senior Accountant

Job Description:

• Managing the full accounting function and monthly reporting cycle
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts and financial reports
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
• Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Analysing financial performance and providing meaningful insights to management
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies
• Ensuring compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Supporting internal and external audit processes
• Mentoring and developing junior finance team members
• Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders to drive business performance
• Supporting strategic initiatives and contributing to business growth

Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of commercial accounting experience
• Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
• Proven track record within a fast-paced, high-performance environment
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system exposure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Commercially minded with the confidence to influence decision-making
• Leadership ability and a passion for developing others

Qualification:

• CA(SA), AGA(SA) or CIMA
