Senior DevOps Engineer

If you're a DevOps Engineer who has actually owned production systems under pressure, scaling infrastructure in real-time, and making decisions that affect uptime, this role puts you at the core of high-availability platforms that our client depend on daily.

Our Client operates in a product-driven, engineering-led environment, building and maintaining platforms that support high-throughput applications, AI/ML pipelines, and distributed systems at scale. You'll be part of a core engineering function responsible for internal platforms that power the entire product ecosystem. You'll take ownership of multi-cloud production infrastructure, working across environments to ensure systems are resilient, scalable, and continuously improving.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage multi-region cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across multiple environments
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies (blue/green, rollbacks)
• Own monitoring, alerting, and incident response across production environments
• Manage and optimise databases (MySQL/Aurora), including upgrades and performance tuning
• Maintain and scale messaging systems (RabbitMQ) and distributed services
• Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency

Requirements:

• 7+ years in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles with real ownership of production systems
• AWS Certifications
• Proven experience supporting high-availability, large-scale systems
• Experience working in product, platform, or scale-up environments (non-client-facing)
• Advanced AWS experience (EC2, RDS/Aurora, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudFront)
• Multi-region and high-availability architecture
• Strong Terraform experience (modular design, remote state, multi-env setups)
• Jenkins pipelines and deployment orchestration
• Blue/green deployments, rollback strategies
• Strong MySQL/Aurora experience (performance tuning, upgrades, backups)
• Prometheus, Grafana, logging stacks (ELK or similar)
• Strong incident response and root cause ownership
• Advanced Linux administration (Ubuntu), Bash scripting
