Software Intergration Engineer

Job Description:

As a Software Integration Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for validating, integrating, testing, and supporting complex software solutions across multi-tier environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building, maintaining, and managing replicated production environments for testing and defect diagnosis.
• Validating software solutions and configurations against business and technical requirements.
• Assessing software version compatibility and deployment risks.
• Managing end-to-end release validation activities.
• Improving system reliability, supportability, and maintainability.
• Acting as a bridge between operational and development teams.
• Mapping system dependencies and analysing potential impacts of change.
• Maintaining environment configuration and version parity.
• Logging, tracking, prioritising, and validating software defects.
• Conducting root cause analysis on software defects and production incidents.
• Isolating variables within complex environments to identify the source of failures.
• Contributing to solutions focused on data organisation, analysis, visualisation, and user experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or a related technical role.
• Experience with test planning, test execution, and defect management.
• Linux proficiency.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work proactively and independently within complex technical environments.

Technical Exposure:

• Python, SQL and/or Bash.
• Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.
• JIRA, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket, DBeaver, and Visual Studio Code.
• Virtualisation platforms including Proxmox and Podman.

• ISTQB / ISEB Certification.
• Experience testing complex software applications.
• Exposure to telecommunications technologies or protocols.

• Detail-oriented and highly reliable.
• Curious, inquisitive, and eager to learn.
• Strong ownership mentality.
• Effective communicator and team player.
• Adaptable to changing technologies and priorities.
• Comfortable managing multiple streams of work in dynamic environments.

Qualification:

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
