Systems Engineer (Core Infrastructure) (Level 2) (CH1264)

Our client is a leading international engineering and automation group specialising in warehouse storage systems, robotics and supply chain solutions. They are looking to appoint a Systems Engineer (Core Infrastructure) to join their global IT team, working remotely from South Africa.

You will provide second-line support for the company's core IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, performance and security of enterprise systems. Working closely with global IT teams, you will resolve complex technical issues, support infrastructure operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and administer Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation and core infrastructure services.

• Resolve complex infrastructure incidents and service requests escalated from the Service Desk.

• Manage backups, monitoring, patching and disaster recovery activities.

• Collaborate with global IT teams, vendors and Level 3 specialists to maintain reliable IT services.

• Contribute to infrastructure automation, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Relevant IT qualification.

• 3-5 years' experience in systems administration or enterprise infrastructure support.

• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation and backup solutions.

• Good understanding of Microsoft 365, Entra ID and networking fundamentals.

• Experience with Azure, PowerShell, Linux or Citrix will be advantageous.

• Strong troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
