As a Thermal Insulation Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing thermal insulation installations for our Employer. Your role will involve the application of various insulation materials and techniques to ensure energy efficiency, thermal protection, and safety in industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

*Must have experience in providing insulation to Liquid Nitrogen pipes and vessels.

Project Planning:

• Collaborate with project teams to develop insulation plans and specifications based on project requirements.
• Estimate insulation material quantities and cost for bidding and project execution.

Thermal Insulation Application:

• Apply insulation materials, such as fiberglass, foam, mineral wool, and reflective coatings, to pipes, vessels, equipment, and structures.
• Utilize insulation techniques, including wrapping, cladding, and spray-on applications, to achieve optimal thermal performance.

Insulation System:

• Install insulation systems to meet project requirements and industry standards, considering factors such as temperature, moisture, noise, and personnel protection.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Quality Assurance:

• Inspect and test insulation installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and rectify any issues or deficiencies in insulation work.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of insulation work, including material usage, project variations, and project documentation.
• Prepare project reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in all insulation activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Thermal Insulation Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of thermal insulation materials, techniques, and applications.
• Experience in industrial insulation projects, preferably in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to thermal insulation. In the UK this is BS: 5970:2012 and CINI manual.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (preferred).
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in thermal insulation (preferred).
