This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consumer-law attorney seeking to develop their practice while working on complex and high-volume litigation matters.
Accountabilities:
- Draft petitions, defences, appeals, initial pleadings, and other procedural documents ranging from low to high complexity.
- Manage consumer and civil litigation matters throughout the relevant stages of proceedings.
- Monitor procedural developments and ensure that case-management systems are accurately and consistently updated.
- Analyse different legal strategies to support effective portfolio management and the successful progression of assigned matters.
- Handle high-volume litigation activities while maintaining quality, accuracy, and compliance with procedural deadlines.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies designed to protect client interests and achieve effective legal outcomes.
- Communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders regarding case developments, priorities, and legal matters.
- Organise and prioritise multiple demands according to urgency, complexity, deadlines, and client requirements.
- Support continuous improvement in the management and execution of legal activities within the assigned portfolio.
- Completed degree in Law with active OAB registration.
- Previous professional experience as an attorney, preferably within a law firm environment.
- Demonstrated experience in civil litigation and high-volume case management.
- Excellent knowledge of Civil Law and Civil Procedural Law.
- Strong legal writing skills and the ability to prepare procedural documents across different levels of complexity.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and related productivity tools.
- Specialisation in Civil Procedural Law or another relevant legal area is considered an advantage.
- English proficiency is considered a plus.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, optimise time, and meet deadlines.
- Proactive approach and ability to take ownership of assigned matters.
- Excellent internal and external communication skills, particularly when interacting with clients.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to respond effectively to time-sensitive demands.
