AI Conversation Designer (Especialista)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a AI Conversation Designer (Especialista) based in Brazil.

As an AI Conversation Designer (Especialista), you will play a critical role in shaping scalable, high-quality conversational experiences across multiple projects. You will translate business needs and user insights into complex conversational architectures and multichannel journeys. With a high degree of autonomy and technical ownership, you will help establish standards, improve quality, and guide the evolution of Conversation AI solutions. The role brings together Conversation Design, AI, Product, Engineering, and Data in a collaborative environment. You will also act as a technical reference for the team, helping solve ambiguous problems and driving thoughtful decisions. This is an opportunity to influence strategy, governance, experimentation, and the continuous improvement of AI-powered customer experiences.

Accountabilities:

• Architect complex conversational flows and multichannel journeys, translating business requirements and user insights into scalable and sustainable conversational experiences.
• Ensure technical consistency across conversational solutions while maintaining appropriate tone, language, and communication standards through established guidelines and quality reviews.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to define viable, scalable, and efficient AI-driven solutions and ensure consistency and quality across experiences.
• Define and monitor relevant performance metrics, analyze data and user feedback, and identify opportunities for structural improvements to conversational flows and experiences.
• Develop and maintain conversation design frameworks, guidelines, and governance practices that support content quality, traceability, consistency, and continuous organizational learning.
• Provide technical mentorship to other Conversation Designers, promote best practices, share knowledge, and support the team in solving complex design and technology challenges.
• Translate organizational strategy into tactical direction for the area, acting as a reference point for solution details and contributing to decisions in ambiguous or complex scenarios.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise in Conversation Design, with the technical and strategic understanding required to operate independently and take ownership of complex initiatives.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguous problems without predefined scope, making difficult prioritization decisions while balancing delivery timelines, quality, and long-term sustainability.
• Strong experience designing conversational architectures, complex flows, and multichannel customer journeys.
• Clear and collaborative communication skills, with the ability to act as a technical reference, influence decisions, and help others resolve complex problems.
• Strong written communication and content skills, including a solid understanding of grammar, sentence construction, clarity, and effective language.
• Experience working collaboratively across Product, Engineering, and Data teams, with the ability to connect business needs, user insights, technical constraints, and AI capabilities.
• Experience with experimentation and A/B testing is desirable, as is familiarity with generative AI tools and concepts such as Gemini, prompt design, LLMs, NLP, and intents.
• Previous experience in technology companies or fintech environments is a plus.
• Experience consolidating learnings and guiding colleagues on Conversation Design, technology, and AI topics is highly valued.
