Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Director, Field Medical Science Liaisons based in United States.

This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape field medical strategy within a rapidly growing precision medicine organization focused on oncology and rare diseases.

You will lead and develop a high-performing Field MSL team supporting genitourinary oncology, with particular emphasis on prostate and renal cancers.

The position combines people leadership, scientific engagement, medical insight generation, and support for clinical development and evidence-generation initiatives.

You will build trusted peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders across academic and community settings.

Working across a highly collaborative, matrixed environment, you will connect field insights with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market Access, and other strategic functions.

Your work will help strengthen scientific exchange, inform medical strategy, support clinical programs, and contribute to launch and lifecycle activities.

The role is suited to an experienced medical affairs leader who thrives in dynamic environments and brings strong scientific credibility, strategic thinking, and a commitment to compliant execution.

Accountabilities:

    • Lead, manage, coach, and develop a high-performing Field MSL team, ensuring the team has the scientific expertise, credibility, and accountability needed to support GU oncology objectives.

    • Translate Medical Affairs strategy, scientific narratives, priorities, and execution expectations into clear direction for the Field MSL team.
    • Ensure MSLs maintain strong subject matter expertise across relevant publications, clinical trials, treatment guidelines, disease developments, diagnostic and therapeutic pathways, and product and pipeline data.
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with national, regional, and local GU oncology experts, healthcare professionals, and key opinion leaders.
    • Facilitate balanced, evidence-based scientific exchange around disease states, clinical data, diagnostic and therapeutic pathways, products, pipeline assets, and areas of scientific interest.
    • Lead the collection, synthesis, and communication of actionable medical insights, research gaps, field intelligence, and congress learnings to inform strategy and cross-functional decision-making.
    • Support clinical trials and evidence-generation activities, including investigator engagement, site identification, enrollment support, registries, expanded access programs, IITs, medical education grants, and research collaborations.
    • Partner with Medical Communications and other stakeholders to develop compliant medical decks, field tools, training resources, congress summaries, and internal communications.
    • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical Communications, Market Access, Regulatory, HEOR, Pharmacovigilance, and Commercial teams as appropriate and within compliance requirements.
    • Track and communicate Field MSL performance metrics, including KOL engagement quality, actionable insights, scientific exchange outcomes, clinical trial support, congress impact, CRM compliance, training completion, and follow-up activities.
    • Provide day-to-day oversight of territory planning, coaching, scientific readiness, CRM documentation, insight quality, compliant follow-up, and alignment with Medical Affairs priorities.
    • Ensure all field activities and external interactions comply with organizational policies, applicable regulations, and legal and ethical standards.
    • Requirements:

      • Advanced scientific, healthcare, or medical degree preferred, such as PharmD, PhD, MD, RN, NP, PA, or equivalent scientific or clinical experience; a bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related discipline is required.
      • At least 5 years of experience in GU oncology, with demonstrated expertise in prostate and renal cancer, preferably within Medical Affairs, Field Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or a related scientific or clinical function.
      • At least 2 years of people management experience or equivalent leadership experience, with a track record of recruiting, coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing field medical professionals.
      • Direct experience overseeing MSL activities, including coaching, field ride-alongs, performance metrics, insight quality, compliant documentation, and execution against field medical objectives.
      • Experience developing and executing field medical plans, KOL engagement strategies, insight-generation programs, congress plans, advisory boards, and evidence-generation initiatives.
      • Experience supporting or overseeing Investigator Initiated Trials, including scientific review, investigator engagement, evidence-generation alignment, and compliant cross-functional coordination.
      • Strong ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific and clinical data related to prostate cancer, renal cancer, radiopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, therapeutics, and broader GU oncology.
      • Thorough understanding of regulations, industry guidance, compliance requirements, and best practices governing field-based scientific personnel and interactions with healthcare professionals.
      • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within matrixed organizations and across multiple medical, clinical, regulatory, commercial, and market access functions.
      • Strong strategic planning, business acumen, organization, time management, interpersonal, and executive communication skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external scientific stakeholders.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant field medical technologies, including Salesforce, CRM, and insight-reporting platforms, with the ability to develop meaningful metrics and dashboards.
      • Exceptional attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy, quality, and compliance across scientific materials, reporting, documentation, and field execution.
      • Ability to travel up to 50% locally, regionally, and nationally for field coaching, KOL engagement, congresses, advisory boards, and internal meetings.
      • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, continuous learning, adaptability, ethical behavior, resilience, inclusion, innovation, and delivering measurable results.
