This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Staff Engineer, ServiceNow (ATF & Testing on GRC Module) based in India.
This is an opportunity for an experienced ServiceNow testing professional to take a leading role in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. You’ll specialize in test automation using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), with a strong focus on the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) module. The role combines hands-on automation with functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across the ServiceNow platform. You’ll work closely with developers, business analysts, project teams, and stakeholders to translate requirements into comprehensive testing strategies. You’ll also support platform upgrades and releases, helping ensure new functionality is delivered without compromising existing processes. This is a collaborative role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex testing challenges and continuously improving quality engineering practices.
Accountabilities:
- Develop, configure, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Design and execute comprehensive manual and automated testing strategies for ServiceNow applications and modules.
- Test the ServiceNow GRC module, validating workflows, controls, configurations, integrations, and business processes.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across the ServiceNow platform.
- Support testing activities associated with ServiceNow platform upgrades, releases, patches, and new functionality.
- Test key ITSM capabilities, including Incident, Change, Problem, and CMDB processes.
- Collaborate with business and project teams to understand requirements and develop test plans, scenarios, and detailed test cases.
- Execute test cases, document results accurately, and provide clear reporting on quality and testing progress.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout their lifecycle, working with development teams through resolution and closure.
- Validate REST and SOAP API integrations and contribute to API testing and automation activities.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to investigate issues and ensure effective solutions.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Provide testing metrics, status updates, risks, and reports to project stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve test automation frameworks, testing processes, and overall quality assurance practices.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, reliability, and high-quality software delivery.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in software testing, with significant experience testing ServiceNow applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Testing and Automation, particularly the Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Proven experience testing the ServiceNow Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) module.
- Experience performing testing during ServiceNow platform upgrades, releases, and major configuration changes.
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and experience conducting end-to-end testing using both manual and automated approaches.
- Solid knowledge of test management and defect management processes.
- Good understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, including API testing and automation.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments and familiarity with Agile delivery practices.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules, particularly Incident, Change, Problem, and CMDB.
- Experience with additional automation tools such as Cypress, TestComplete, or Robot Framework is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain testing issues and technical findings clearly.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, technical specialists, business users, and project stakeholders.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is mandatory.
- ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) Micro-Certification is mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple testing activities, prioritize effectively, and deliver against project and release timelines.
