IT Product Owner

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a IT Product Owner based in India.

Take ownership of a critical enterprise SaaS platform and help maximize its value across technology, governance, risk, privacy, and compliance functions.

In this role, you will serve as the internal technical point of contact, ensuring platform stability, performance, security, and long-term lifecycle planning.

You will work closely with business process owners, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver secure integrations and effective platform enhancements.

A key part of the role involves developing automation, workflows, templates, and role-based access controls to improve efficiency and user experience.

You will also coordinate upgrades, releases, testing, and technical support while minimizing disruption to business operations.

The position offers broad cross-functional exposure across Privacy, GRC, Internal Audit, Legal, Compliance, and IT teams.

You will play an important role in strengthening enterprise processes through reliable technology solutions, thoughtful governance, and continuous platform improvement.

Accountabilities:

• Platform ownership: Serve as the internal technical owner for the enterprise SaaS platform, taking accountability for its stability, performance, security, lifecycle, and ongoing technical development.
• Vendor management: Manage the technology relationship with the platform provider, coordinating with customer success and other vendor stakeholders to resolve issues, plan improvements, and align platform capabilities with organizational needs.
• Release and lifecycle management: Oversee platform upgrades, patches, releases, and lifecycle planning while coordinating user acceptance testing to validate changes and minimize disruption to end users.
• Automation and workflows: Partner with governance, risk, and compliance technology stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and oversee the development of automation rules, workflows, templates, and other platform enhancements.
• Access management: Develop and strengthen role-based access control practices across platform modules to support secure, appropriate, and efficient access to enterprise functionality.
• Technical support: Provide second-level technical support for incidents, investigate application or platform issues, and coordinate appropriate resolution with internal teams and external vendors.
• Integration management: Support and oversee integrations between the platform and other enterprise systems, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with technical requirements.
• Documentation and architecture: Maintain and develop technical documentation, solution architecture materials, and platform records in line with internal priorities and external technology roadmaps.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Privacy, GRC, ICFR, Internal Audit, Legal, Compliance, IT, and business process owners to translate organizational requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve platform usage, automation, governance, and operational processes while contributing to broader technology and business objectives.

Requirements

• Professional experience: At least 3 years of experience working with SaaS platforms, enterprise IT environments, or similar technology ecosystems, with experience in the relevant platform environment considered highly valuable.
• Platform expertise: Hands-on experience with enterprise platforms such as OneTrust or ServiceNow is strongly preferred, particularly in environments involving governance, risk, privacy, compliance, or business process management.
• Technical integration skills: Solid understanding of APIs, system integrations, JSON, workflow automation, and related technologies used to connect enterprise applications.
• Access control knowledge: Understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and its application across enterprise platforms and business functions.
• Data and documentation: Strong analytical and documentation skills, including practical experience with data modeling and template-based data management.
• Project coordination: Ability to manage multiple integration and platform initiatives simultaneously while coordinating effectively with vendors and internal technical and business teams.
• Cross-functional communication: Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across Privacy, GRC, ICFR, Internal Audit, Legal, Compliance, IT, and other business functions.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate technical issues, identify root causes, evaluate solutions, and make sound decisions in a complex enterprise environment.
• Organization and ownership: Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities while maintaining accountability for platform performance and deliverables.
• Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts and requirements for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work environment: Comfortable working regularly with computers and standard office technology, with the ability to sit, stand, and walk as required. Occasional travel may be required.
