Business Intelligence Analyst IV

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst IV based in India.

This is a senior business intelligence role focused on transforming complex data into actionable insights that support critical organizational decisions.

You will analyze large, multi-source datasets, identify trends and patterns, and develop clear recommendations for business and client stakeholders.

The role combines advanced analytics, reporting, data visualization, and process improvement in a highly collaborative environment.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs, improve data quality, and automate existing processes.

You will also contribute to strategic planning by developing forecasts, KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations.

As a senior member of the team, you will mentor colleagues, establish best practices, and contribute to the evolution of business intelligence capabilities.

Accountabilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis using SQL, dashboards, spreadsheets, and other business intelligence tools.
• Partner with internal and client stakeholders to understand data visualization, reporting, and analytical requirements.
• Develop forecasts, recommendations, strategic plans, and tactical insights based on business data and market knowledge.
• Improve, automate, and align data processes with current business and client workflows.
• Define report and analysis specifications based on business requirements and available data sources.
• Produce high-quality datasets, reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs using relevant reporting systems.
• Consult with business users and lead cross-functional teams in identifying and resolving complex business and data challenges.
• Develop methodologies, tools, and system enhancements that strengthen business intelligence capabilities.
• Troubleshoot data issues and proactively identify, document, and drive resolution of data-quality problems.
• Provide critical data and insights for key business decisions while ensuring analytical accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor industry developments, research emerging practices, and recommend relevant KPIs, methodologies, and BI best practices.
• Mentor other team members, share expertise, and contribute to the development of internal standards and best practices.
• Lead or evaluate implementations of functional programs across major business areas and serve as a specialized knowledge resource.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline, with 8+ years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience analyzing complex datasets and translating analysis into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
• Strong experience working with large datasets across multiple systems and data sources.
• Advanced SQL development skills, including SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL, with strong querying and report-writing capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence and reporting technologies such as Tableau, Hadoop, BigQuery, SSIS, SSRS, or Power BI.
• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, or related applications.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace/G-Suite.
• Strong data visualization and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to different audiences.
• Ability to create, interpret, and maintain technical documentation.
• Strong critical-thinking, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities, combined with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to determine appropriate methodologies and procedures for complex assignments and coordinate activities across teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to collaborate with stakeholders outside your immediate area of expertise.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable mentoring colleagues and serving as a subject-matter resource for business intelligence and data-related processes.
