This role offers the opportunity to shape cloud and open source adoption across strategic technology partnerships and global enterprise ecosystems.
You will work closely with hardware manufacturers, global system integrators, software vendors, channel partners, and public cloud providers to design compelling joint solutions.
The position combines deep technical architecture with partner engagement, helping organisations adopt modern infrastructure and cloud-native technologies.
You will architect solutions spanning Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, AI and data platforms, networking, and leading public cloud environments.
Your work will influence joint go-to-market initiatives, reference architectures, technical validations, and partner enablement programmes.
You will collaborate with globally distributed engineering and field teams while engaging directly with technical and business stakeholders.

Accountabilities
- Architect and deliver cloud infrastructure solutions across public and private cloud environments, including Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark.
- Design solutions integrating widely adopted open source technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and NGINX.
- Help strategic partners develop and architect joint solutions using Linux, cloud, and open source technologies across public cloud and data center environments.
- Work with OEMs, global system integrators, independent software vendors, channel partners, and public cloud alliances to support technical adoption and joint solution development.
- Design, document, and publish joint reference architectures that demonstrate practical and scalable technology solutions.
- Conduct technical validations and collaborate with partners to ensure proposed architectures meet performance, reliability, integration, and business requirements.
- Lead or support partner onboarding sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and technical enablement activities.
- Understand real-world Linux, Ubuntu, networking, infrastructure, and cloud environments to provide informed architectural guidance.
- Translate customer and partner requirements into practical, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective technical solutions.
- Support joint go-to-market initiatives by providing technical insight, solution design, and architecture expertise.
- Build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute expertise around areas such as LXD, Juju, Snaps, Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, and open source platforms.
- Travel globally, including to partner locations, customer engagements, industry events, and internal company gatherings, as required.
- Extensive professional experience working with Linux, preferably Ubuntu, along with strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation.
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions across public and private cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud-native architectures, data center technologies, and open source software.
- Experience with Python and Bash, combined with strong troubleshooting and systems analysis capabilities.
- Ability to understand complex technical environments and translate business or customer requirements into effective architectural solutions.
- Strong customer-facing experience, including presenting, demonstrating, pitching, consulting, or advising technical stakeholders.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- High motivation, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while reliably following through on commitments.
- Genuine interest in emerging technologies and the broader open source ecosystem, including technologies such as LXD, Juju, and Snaps.
- Ability to work effectively with global partners and distributed, multicultural teams.
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another relevant technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness and ability to travel globally for up to approximately 30% of the time.
