Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Costing and Power Supply Specialist based in the United States.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in retail power costing and commercial decision-making across U.S. deregulated energy markets.

You will help develop competitive costing strategies while identifying, modeling, and mitigating market and cost-related exposures.

The role combines quantitative analysis, energy-market expertise, data management, and commercial insight in a highly collaborative environment.

You will work closely with Pricing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Risk, Regulatory, and Compliance teams to improve pricing accuracy and business outcomes.

A major focus will be developing and automating costing methodologies, analyzing ISO settlements, and supporting pricing and gross-margin models.

You will also contribute to new product initiatives, market competitiveness analysis, customer discussions, and sales enablement.

This role is ideal for a technically strong energy professional who enjoys solving complex problems and turning market data into actionable commercial insights.

Accountabilities:

    • Manage and continuously improve the retail costing process across assigned U.S. deregulated power markets, with a focus on competitiveness, business growth, and exposure management.
    • Analyze and model cost components, market risks, premiums, and other factors that influence retail power pricing.
    • Develop, automate, and maintain reporting for cost components, pricing strategies, and methodologies supporting pricing and gross-margin models.
    • Track, optimize, and explain P&L performance associated with non-tradable cost components.
    • Manage regulatory rate-change processes and monitor state and market rules that affect retail costing.
    • Partner with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure costing approaches remain aligned with applicable requirements.
    • Support the costing and commercial development of new retail energy products and initiatives.
    • Act as a subject-matter expert for Pricing, Operations, Sales, and other functional teams on ISO-level component costing and settlement-related questions.
    • Obtain appropriate quarterly validation and sign-off for costing methodologies and pricing assumptions.
    • Build and maintain information resources, data libraries, and supporting data infrastructure.
    • Serve as a key point of contact for Sales and other internal stakeholders on costing-related questions and commercial analysis.
    • Track and analyze competitiveness feedback and translate market insights into actionable recommendations.
    • Develop market collateral and supporting materials for Sales teams, channel partners, and customers.
    • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and seminars when requested.
    • Expand knowledge across deregulated energy markets in North America and apply market insights to improve costing and commercial performance.
    • Lead or contribute to process improvements, cross-functional initiatives, and other responsibilities as business needs evolve.
    • Requirements

      • Mid-level professional experience in a substantially similar role involving retail power costing, energy pricing, power markets, or a related quantitative commercial function.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
      • Strong understanding of retail power pricing processes, including pricing model development and cost-component analysis.
      • Knowledge of deregulated electricity market cost structures, including capacity, transmission, ancillary services, losses, and related market components.
      • Prior experience working with ISO settlements data and interpreting complex market or settlement information.
      • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to collect, query, organize, evaluate, and interpret complex datasets and draw logical conclusions.
      • Advanced proficiency in Excel, VBA, and SQL, with the ability to automate analysis and reporting where appropriate.
      • Strong commercial and business acumen, with an understanding of how costing decisions influence competitiveness, profitability, and growth.
      • Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and lead process improvements with limited supervision.
      • Highly organized, resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
      • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
      • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including Sales, Pricing, Operations, Finance, Risk, Regulatory, and Compliance.
      • Strong interest in continuous learning and developing expertise across North American deregulated energy markets.
      • Ability to influence stakeholders, communicate technical findings clearly, and translate quantitative analysis into practical commercial recommendations.
      • Benefits

        • Full-time hybrid work model combining office and remote working.
        • Location: Houston, Texas, United States.
        • Opportunity to work in a technically sophisticated retail power and energy-market environment.
        • Exposure to deregulated electricity markets and a broad range of commercial, operational, regulatory, and risk functions.
        • Opportunity to contribute to pricing strategy, product development, process improvement, and commercial growth initiatives.
        • Collaborative, multidisciplinary working environment with interaction across Sales, Operations, Finance, Risk, Pricing, Regulatory, and Compliance.
        • Generous paid parental leave.
        • Retirement benefits.
        • Commitment to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
        • Reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities throughout the recruitment and employment process.
        • Travel: Negligible travel expected.
        • Relocation assistance: Not available for this position.
        • Employment may be subject to applicable local policies, which can include pre-employment screening, medical review, and background checks depending on the role.
