This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Success Manager, Advertising (Retail Search) based in the United States.
This role is focused on helping enterprise brands drive profitable revenue growth through retail media search advertising. You’ll manage advertising campaigns and budgets across major marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, and other retail platforms. Working directly with enterprise customers, you’ll translate business goals into joint success plans and measurable advertising strategies. The role combines hands-on campaign execution, performance analysis, customer success, and strategic consulting. You’ll use data to identify opportunities, optimize campaigns, and clearly demonstrate business value throughout the customer engagement. This is a results-driven, analytical environment where strong ownership, communication, and eCommerce advertising expertise are essential.
Accountabilities:
- Retail Media Campaign Management: Manage the end-to-end execution of retail media search advertising campaigns across platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, and other major marketplaces.
- Customer Success Planning: Understand customer objectives and develop, organize, and manage joint success plans that align advertising activities with business priorities and desired outcomes.
- KPI & Revenue Growth: Drive measurable improvements in customer KPIs, including profitable revenue growth, and continuously demonstrate the value delivered through the advertising platform.
- Campaign Optimization: Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and actionable recommendations for improving advertising effectiveness.
- Budget Management: Oversee significant eCommerce advertising budgets, ensuring spend is strategically allocated and optimized against performance objectives.
- Platform Expertise: Develop deep expertise in the advertising and commerce technology platform and use its capabilities to help customers achieve their goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to maximize platform capabilities and help shape new features based on customer needs and market opportunities.
- Executive Engagement: Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and communicate campaign performance, strategic recommendations, and business impact clearly and confidently.
- Project Management: Coordinate multiple customer priorities and initiatives, anticipate potential risks or blockers, and ensure projects and deliverables remain on track.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of total professional experience, including at least 3 years managing media and advertising engagements with customers in a consulting, agency, or similar environment.
- Retail Media Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing eCommerce marketing budgets for large enterprise brands across platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Kroger, and Instacart.
- Amazon Advertising: Experience managing Amazon search marketing budgets in the multi-million-dollar range.
- Campaign Management: Strong knowledge of bid and budget management, content optimization, promotion planning, and retail search advertising best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Highly analytical approach to problem-solving, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to translate campaign data into clear business recommendations.
- Project Management: Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and coordinate multiple priorities.
- Enterprise Customer Management: Proven experience working with VP, SVP, and C-level executives at enterprise organizations.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate complex advertising insights in a compelling and accessible way.
- Customer Orientation: Proactive, results-driven approach with a strong focus on understanding customer needs, delivering measurable outcomes, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Location: This is a remote role within the United States, with a strong preference for candidates located in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
- Base Salary: USD $122,400-$140,000 per year, with the final range determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
- Annual Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 15%, based on company and individual performance.
