Deltek Principal Application Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Deltek Principal Application Consultant based in Canada.

This is a senior consulting opportunity focused on delivering successful ERP implementations for clients across complex business environments.

You’ll serve as a trusted subject matter expert, helping organizations address sophisticated accounting, reporting, and operational requirements.

The role combines hands-on implementation leadership with strategic client advisory and problem-solving.

You’ll work particularly with multi-company and multi-currency environments where strong financial and business expertise is essential.

Success in this position requires close collaboration with client stakeholders, senior leaders, and internal consulting teams.

You’ll have significant ownership over client outcomes, from implementation through issue resolution and ongoing satisfaction.

The position is fully remote, with moderate travel and strong opportunities to make a measurable impact through practical ERP solutions.

Accountabilities

• Lead and support client implementations of Deltek ERP solutions, applying established implementation methodologies to deliver successful outcomes.
• Act as a subject matter expert for multi-company and multi-currency environments, advising clients on complex accounting, reporting, and operational requirements.
• Partner with client stakeholders, senior leaders, and executives to understand business needs and translate them into practical, effective ERP solutions.
• Apply strong accounting and financial expertise to implementation decisions and client challenges.
• Proactively communicate with clients and internal teams throughout implementation projects to maintain alignment, transparency, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Respond to client questions, track issues through resolution, and escalate matters appropriately in accordance with established guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve implementation effectiveness, resolve complex challenges, and contribute to positive long-term client relationships.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience working with Deltek ERP software is required.
• At least 2 years of consulting experience, preferably in ERP implementation or application consulting.
• Demonstrated accounting and financial expertise, with the ability to apply business knowledge to complex ERP environments.
• Experience working with multi-company and multi-currency environments is highly relevant.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to partner confidently with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Excellent client-facing communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams and clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20-30% as required.
