This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor(a) Fullstack Node/PHP + Vue.js - Sênior based in Brazil.

This is a senior fullstack engineering opportunity focused primarily on backend development with Node.js and PHP.

You will build and evolve modern, secure, and high-performance web applications supporting digital transformation in the education sector.

The role combines strong backend ownership with meaningful front-end contribution using React, Next.js, and modern web practices.

You will work across APIs, microservices, databases, cloud infrastructure, authentication, testing, and continuous delivery.

Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain modern, scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications across the backend and front-end layers.
• Design, develop, integrate, and consume REST and GraphQL APIs following scalable architecture and engineering best practices.
• Work primarily with Node.js and PHP on backend development while contributing to front-end solutions using React and Next.js.
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions, system integrations, and the evolution of scalable software solutions.
• Implement automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD processes, and engineering quality practices.
• Apply clean code, componentization, performance optimization, and maintainability principles throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate business needs into effective digital solutions.
• Act as a technical reference for less experienced developers, supporting knowledge sharing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Take ownership of technical decisions, proactively identify problems, and drive solutions with minimal supervision.
• Stay current with emerging software development technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development tools into the software lifecycle safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js and PHP 8+, with backend engineering as the primary technical focus.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript, React, and Next.js, sufficient to contribute effectively to front-end development.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, plus knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and MongoDB.
• Experience with microservices architectures and serverless solutions.
• Professional experience with AWS and/or GCP.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools such as Codex and/or Claude.
• Experience with automated testing using Jest or Vitest and end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and development quality tooling, including ESLint, Prettier, Husky, and Lint-Staged.
• Experience using Axios or Fetch API for REST and GraphQL integrations.
• Practical knowledge of application security, including JWT and refresh-token authentication, rate limiting, Helmet, CSP, and input sanitization.
• Strong understanding of performance, security, scalability, and maintainable software architecture.
• Senior-level autonomy, proactive problem-solving, direct communication, and a strong delivery-oriented mindset.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, product, and design stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Flutter.
• Experience with reusable component architectures, custom hooks/composables, and Server Components in Next.js 14+.
• Previous experience working with educational institutions or education technology.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar solutions.
