Director, AI Product Strategy

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, AI Product Strategy based in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of product management, business strategy, design, and technology.

You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams in creating and launching sophisticated digital products and AI-powered experiences.

The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in emerging AI technologies, including agentic workflows and large language models.

You’ll work directly with senior client stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into scalable digital and AI solutions.

From discovery and research through validation, development, and launch, you’ll guide the full product lifecycle.

Accountabilities:

• Architect end-to-end, orchestrated AI agent workflows designed to transform consumer-facing digital experiences and complex internal client operations.
• Own the full product lifecycle, from discovery, research, strategy, and requirements gathering through validation, design, technology delivery, and launch.
• Translate complex business requirements and emerging AI capabilities into clear product strategies, compelling narratives, and measurable business outcomes for senior executives.
• Partner closely with Design, Engineering, Program Delivery, Marketing, and Client Partnership teams to establish direction, iterate on solutions, and validate technical feasibility.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams spanning strategy, design, and technology while creating a collaborative and fast-paced delivery environment.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert during client engagements, applying strong agency and consulting discipline to complex product challenges.
• Build close partnerships with senior client stakeholders, balancing business requirements and operational logic with user needs, goals, and experiences.
• Apply hands-on knowledge of AI tools and emerging technologies to develop practical solutions that move beyond experimentation and into real-world implementation.

Requirements

• Proven experience working within a digital agency, consulting, or similarly client-focused environment.
• Deep product management or product ownership experience, with a track record of shipping large-scale, consumer-facing digital products across web, mobile applications, CMS, or enterprise platforms.
• Practical, applied experience with modern AI technologies, including agentic design, AI governance, workflow transformation, and AI-powered product development.
• Demonstrated ability to take AI concepts from experimentation or proof-of-concept stages through production, launch, and evaluation.
• Strong understanding of the differences between deterministic and probabilistic systems, including how to design effective products and workflows around these characteristics.
• Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of cloud and large language model ecosystems, including Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise Agents, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, and Microsoft Copilot.
• Ability to bridge strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and technical problem solving.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical and AI concepts to senior executives and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and the ability to collaborate effectively across strategy, design, engineering, delivery, marketing, and client-facing functions.
• Strong business judgment, product thinking, problem-solving ability, and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
