Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Global Supply Chain based in United States.

This is a highly visible global leadership role with significant influence over sourcing strategy, supplier performance, cost optimization, and overall supply chain results. You will shape global commodity management and strategic sourcing initiatives across a complex manufacturing environment. The role partners closely with senior executives, materials management teams, global business units, and strategic suppliers. You will lead initiatives that improve material costs, total cost of ownership, supplier quality, service, and supply continuity. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on analysis, negotiation, and performance management. It offers broad international exposure, with opportunities to collaborate across global operations and travel to business units and supply partners.

Accountabilities

    • Lead global strategic sourcing, commodity management, and supplier negotiation initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce material and total costs while strengthening commercial outcomes.
    • Assess and improve global commodity quotation processes, establishing priorities, timelines, performance expectations, and consistent guidance for quote packages, supplier awards, and implementation.
    • Analyze global spend, pricing, supplier information, VMI activity, and active-part data to establish competitive pricing and total-cost-of-ownership targets.
    • Lead key supplier negotiations and develop strategies addressing supplier quality, service, cost, performance, escalation management, and long-term value.
    • Establish and maintain reporting for savings, purchase price variance, supplier awards, implementation progress, and supplier performance.
    • Develop supplier scorecards, executive relationships, and structured escalation processes to strengthen accountability and collaboration across the supply base.
    • Monitor market shifts, emerging technologies, commodity trends, and supply risks, translating findings into actionable direction for global locations.
    • Lead global spend analysis and maintain accurate, reliable spend information and database infrastructure to support sourcing decisions.
    • Develop and implement supplier risk mitigation, business continuity, and supply assurance strategies across the global network.
    • Lead initiatives related to responsible and diversified sourcing, including conflict minerals and minority/diverse supplier development programs.
    • Build, lead, and develop global supply chain resources, establishing clear expectations, accountability, capabilities, and professional development plans.
    • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic projects supporting business growth, margin improvement, and broader financial objectives.
    • Travel internationally and domestically, as required, to engage with business units, suppliers, and other strategic partners.
    • Requirements

      • Minimum 10 years of supply chain negotiation experience, including substantial global strategic sourcing and commodity management responsibility.
      • Minimum 10 years of experience in contract electronics manufacturing or a closely related manufacturing environment.
      • Advanced knowledge of global strategic sourcing, commodity management, supplier negotiations, and total-cost-of-ownership principles.
      • Strong experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, along with spend analysis, database management, and supply chain information systems.
      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business analytics tools, with the ability to translate complex spend and supplier data into actionable business decisions.
      • Demonstrated experience developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and delivering measurable cost improvements.
      • Proven leadership and team-development capabilities, with the ability to establish accountability, develop talent, and lead globally distributed supply chain resources.
      • Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work effectively with senior executives, materials management teams, manufacturing sites, and external suppliers across different regions and functions.
      • Comfortable operating in a highly visible, results-oriented environment where sourcing decisions can directly influence organizational financial performance.
      • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically, with travel expected to be up to approximately 30%.
      • Ability to work remotely while collaborating effectively across global teams and time zones.
      • Benefits

        • Salary range: $120,000-$150,000 USD, with actual compensation varying based on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
        • Remote work arrangement from Anywhere.
        • High-visibility leadership position with direct influence on global financial and operational performance.
        • Opportunities to work with senior executives, global manufacturing operations, and strategic suppliers.
        • International exposure and opportunities to travel to global business units and supply partners.
        • Opportunities for professional recognition and advancement based on successful delivery of objectives.
        • Opportunity to lead and develop global supply chain teams and contribute to strategic growth and margin-improvement initiatives.
