Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Finance Director based in United States.

This executive-level role will lead the financial operations of a growing global organization and play a central role in shaping its long-term financial strategy.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll serve as a key member of the leadership team, providing financial insight to support growth, investment, and strategic decisions.

The position spans financial planning, accounting, forecasting, cash management, compliance, contracts, and international operations.

You’ll develop sophisticated financial models and translate business performance into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

The role also offers exposure to complex commercial agreements, event and talent revenue structures, acquisitions, and international expansion.

As the finance function grows, you’ll have the opportunity to strengthen systems, processes, controls, and team capabilities.

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced finance leader seeking broad ownership in a dynamic, global environment.

Accountabilities:

    • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across the organization.
    • Oversee accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and other core finance operations.
    • Develop and maintain financial models that support executive decision-making, strategic planning, and growth initiatives.
    • Partner with the CEO and leadership team on business strategy, deal structuring, financial risk management, and investment decisions.
    • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, legal advisors, and external financial partners.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state tax requirements, internal controls, and applicable industry contracts.
    • Review and negotiate the financial components of artist contracts, venue agreements, vendor arrangements, and other commercial deals.
    • Oversee multi-currency financial management across international operations.
    • Monitor cash flow, working capital, profitability, and financial performance across business lines.
    • Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to ownership and key stakeholders.
    • Build, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team while strengthening organizational capabilities.
    • Evaluate and optimize financial systems, processes, reporting structures, and internal controls.
    • Oversee HR-related functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy development.
    • Support acquisitions, international expansion, and other strategic initiatives requiring financial leadership.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
      • CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred; an MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Business is a plus.
      • 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
      • Proven experience as a Finance Director, CFO, VP of Finance, or in an equivalent senior finance leadership position.
      • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial management principles.
      • Demonstrated experience managing international finance and multi-currency operations.
      • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, Salesforce, accounting ERP systems, advanced Excel, and financial modeling.
      • Experience with payroll systems and payroll processing platforms.
      • Strong understanding of state tax compliance, including payroll, sales, and income taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
      • Knowledge of contract finance, royalties, and talent or event-related revenue structures is highly valuable.
      • Strong strategic thinking, analytical ability, communication skills, and executive-level judgment.
      • Comfortable working in an Apple macOS and Apple product environment.
      • Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States and must be based in the United States.
      • Benefits:

        • Annual starting salary of $90,000-$100,000 USD.
        • Performance-based bonus opportunities.

        • Eligibility for a 401(k) plan after the required period of employment.
        • Paid time off, including vacation and paid holidays.
        • Coverage of general work-related expenses, including office Wi-Fi, computer equipment, and travel.
        • Optional cell phone service through a corporate phone plan.
        • Fully remote work arrangement.
        • Opportunity to join an executive leadership team and directly influence financial strategy and organizational growth.
        • Broad exposure to international operations, complex contracts, acquisitions, and strategic business initiatives.
