Finance Director
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Finance Director based in the India.
This is a strategic finance leadership role supporting a rapidly growing consumer business.
You will help build scalable financial infrastructure while partnering closely with leadership on high-impact business decisions.
The role spans financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow planning, and analysis across DTC, Amazon, and retail channels.
You will evaluate unit economics, channel performance, and key business drivers to identify opportunities for profitable growth.
A major focus will be improving financial processes, reporting infrastructure, and forecasting frameworks.
You will also help introduce AI, automation, and modern data tools to increase efficiency and strengthen analytical capabilities.
The environment is fully remote, global, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, with significant ownership and direct exposure to strategic decisions.
Accountabilities:
Build, maintain, and improve financial models across direct-to-consumer, Amazon, and retail sales channels.
Support financial forecasting, annual budgeting, cash flow planning, and ongoing performance analysis.
Analyze unit economics, channel performance, operating metrics, and underlying business drivers.
Translate financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.
Partner with senior stakeholders to evaluate business opportunities, allocate resources, and support strategic decision-making.
Improve forecasting methodologies, financial reporting processes, and broader finance infrastructure as the business scales.
Develop a deep understanding of the business model, financial drivers, and relationships between operational performance and financial outcomes.
Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve finance workflows using AI tools and emerging technologies.
Implement AI-enabled processes that increase analytical efficiency, reduce manual work, and expand financial output.
Contribute to the development of scalable financial models, reporting frameworks, and analytical processes.
Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable analysis to support both short-term operating decisions and long-term growth.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while independently identifying and solving complex business and financial challenges.
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline is preferred.
10+ years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a high-growth startup environment.
Strong financial modeling, quantitative analysis, forecasting, and business-analysis capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into practical strategic insights.
Experience using modern AI tools as part of professional or analytical workflows.
Experience working in fast-paced environments where priorities can evolve quickly and independent judgment is valued.
Strong initiative, ownership, and ability to approach business challenges with clarity and sound judgment.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Experience with DTC, consumer, or retail businesses is preferred.
Experience with paid media or marketing performance modeling is preferred.
Familiarity with automation tools, AI agents, data pipelines, or similar technologies is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts and recommendations clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
