Freelance Video Producer

This freelance role is ideal for an experienced video producer who can take creative direction and turn client requirements into polished, engaging video projects. You will support a diverse range of clients, from growing startups to large enterprise organizations, across a variety of video needs. The position combines scriptwriting, research, asset sourcing, and hands-on coordination with editors and voice-over artists. You will work independently from home while collaborating closely with clients and creative partners through email and phone. Success requires strong organization, creative judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. This is an opportunity to contribute to a fast-moving production environment while taking ownership of projects from concept through execution.

Accountabilities:

• Scriptwriting: Develop clear, engaging video scripts based on specific client guidelines, objectives, target audiences, and creative requirements.
• Research: Quickly and efficiently research companies, products, services, industries, and relevant topics to gather the information needed to develop accurate and compelling video content.
• Asset Sourcing: Find, evaluate, and acquire appropriate creative assets for video editors, including footage, music, graphics, templates, and other supporting materials.
• Creative Direction: Provide clear, detailed direction to video editors and voice-over artists, ensuring they understand the creative vision, project requirements, and expected outcomes.
• Client Collaboration: Communicate directly with clients through email and phone to clarify requirements, address questions, gather feedback, and ensure projects remain aligned with expectations.
• Production Coordination: Manage multiple creative tasks and deadlines independently, keeping projects organized and ensuring required materials and instructions are delivered to production partners on time.
• Quality & Delivery: Apply strong creative judgment and attention to detail to help ensure finished video projects meet client requirements and maintain a professional standard.

Requirements

• Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience producing videos designed to appeal to broad audiences, with a demonstrated ability to manage creative production workflows.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio of relevant video work and sample scripts that demonstrate your production, storytelling, and writing capabilities.
• Scriptwriting: Excellent writing skills and the ability to develop compelling scripts quickly while working within tight deadlines and specific client guidelines.
• Production Collaboration: Proven experience working with video editors and voice-over artists, including the ability to communicate creative direction clearly and provide actionable feedback.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Equipment: Access to a reliable Mac or Windows-based computer or laptop suitable for professional video production and remote collaboration.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and creative professionals through email and phone.
• Organization & Independence: Highly organized, dependable, and capable of managing priorities, deadlines, and multiple projects independently in a work-from-home environment.
• Creative Judgment: Strong attention to detail, audience awareness, and the ability to translate client objectives into clear and engaging video concepts.
