This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist based in the United States.
This is a remote marketing technology role focused on executing and optimizing automated customer and advisor engagement programs.
You will build and test multi-channel journeys spanning email, direct mail, SMS, landing pages, and forms.
The role combines hands-on marketing automation with audience segmentation, reporting, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
You will work closely with paid media and integrated marketing teams to translate campaign objectives into effective automated workflows.
Data accuracy and continuous experimentation will be central to improving engagement and key performance indicators.
The position also offers opportunities to expand into personalization initiatives and apply AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and service quality.
Success requires strong technical aptitude, analytical thinking, organization, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Accountabilities
Build, configure, test, and maintain automated engagement journeys across email, direct mail, and SMS channels using marketing automation platforms.
Develop prospect, client, and other targeted audiences within the marketing automation environment and perform list counts as requested.
Collaborate with paid media and integrated marketing teams to implement, analyze, and optimize campaign workflows.
Serve as a first responder for marketing automation technology issues, troubleshooting problems and escalating more complex issues when necessary.
Create basic performance reports for acquisition and engagement programs using available marketing analytics and reporting tools.
Conduct ongoing A/B testing and evaluate results to identify opportunities to improve campaign performance and audience accuracy.
Recommend improvements to key performance indicators, engagement strategies, audience development, and marketing automation best practices.
Report segment and audience improvements to marketing automation leadership and contribute insights that support campaign effectiveness.
Support specialized marketing automation projects, including initiatives involving personalization capabilities.
Use approved AI and digital tools to streamline workflows, improve service quality, and increase operational efficiency while validating outputs for accuracy, privacy, and business alignment.
Identify and escalate inaccurate information, knowledge gaps, or issues associated with digital tools and automated processes.
Maintain effective documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of marketing automation processes and standards.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of professional experience, training, military experience, or education.
4+ years of professional email marketing experience with demonstrated experience developing and deploying marketing campaigns.
Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget, Eloqua, Pardot, Marketo, or Adobe Campaign.
Experience with Salesforce or another major CRM platform.
Experience developing and evaluating A/B testing programs, with familiarity with control groups and extracting actionable insights from test results preferred.
SQL querying experience is preferred.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist certification is advantageous, or willingness to obtain the certification within the first year.
Experience or interest in financial services is a plus but is not required.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, organizational, and project-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across marketing and technical teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability to use AI and digital tools effectively while applying appropriate judgment and validating outputs.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.
Base salary range of $70,000-$80,000, exclusive of bonuses and benefits; the broader salary grade for the position is $67,300-$97,600.
