Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a National Senior Sales Manager, Building Management Systems based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the growth of a Building Management Systems business across the Canadian market. You will shape sales strategy for smart building technologies that improve operational efficiency, safety, sustainability, and connectivity. Working closely with strategic partners and customers, you will build a high-performing ecosystem capable of delivering innovative automation solutions at scale. The position combines national commercial leadership with relationship building, market development, and solution-driven selling. You will influence market presence and customer outcomes while helping organizations adopt the next generation of intelligent building technologies. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced sales leader who thrives in complex B2B environments and is motivated by transforming how buildings operate.

Accountabilities

    • Develop and execute a national sales strategy for Building Management Systems, aligned with business objectives and market opportunities across Canada.
    • Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding strategic accounts, and strengthening relationships with customers, partners, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
    • Build, develop, and manage a high-performing partner ecosystem that expands market reach and enables effective delivery of smart building solutions.
    • Establish and maintain strong executive-level relationships with strategic partners and customers, acting as a trusted advisor on building automation and intelligent building technologies.
    • Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and opportunities to strengthen the organization’s position in the Canadian BMS market.
    • Lead complex sales initiatives from opportunity development through solution positioning, negotiation, and close, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and proposed solutions.
    • Collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams to develop customer-focused solutions, sales programs, and go-to-market initiatives.
    • Support partners in developing their capabilities, improving engagement, and increasing adoption of advanced building automation technologies.
    • Monitor sales performance, pipeline development, forecasts, and key commercial metrics, taking corrective action where necessary to achieve growth targets.
    • Represent the organization at industry events, customer meetings, partner engagements, and other strategic forums to strengthen market visibility and relationships.
    • Promote innovative, sustainable, connected, and secure building solutions that deliver measurable value to customers and contribute to long-term market growth.
    • Requirements

      • Significant experience in B2B sales leadership, preferably within Building Management Systems, building automation, controls, HVAC, energy management, smart buildings, or a closely related technology sector.
      • Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies that deliver revenue growth across a regional or national market.
      • Strong understanding of BMS technologies, building automation solutions, intelligent buildings, or related commercial building systems.
      • Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic partner ecosystems, channels, distributors, contractors, consultants, or systems integrators.
      • Strong consultative and solution-selling capabilities, with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear customer and business value.
      • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, including senior executives, engineering teams, facility leaders, contractors, and channel partners.
      • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing pipelines, forecasts, account strategies, negotiations, and revenue targets.
      • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
      • Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and operate effectively within a large, complex organization.
      • Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify market opportunities and turn them into actionable sales initiatives.
      • Customer-focused approach and strong commitment to delivering measurable outcomes.
      • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with colleagues and partners across Canada.
      • Willingness to travel as required for customer meetings, partner engagements, industry events, and other business activities.
      • Benefits

        • Opportunity to lead national growth in the rapidly evolving smart buildings and building automation market.
        • Remote-based work arrangement from a Canadian location.
        • High-impact leadership position with significant influence over market strategy, partner development, and customer success.
        • Opportunity to work with innovative technologies focused on smarter, safer, more sustainable, and connected buildings.
        • Exposure to strategic customers, partners, and industry stakeholders across the Canadian market.
        • Collaborative environment with cross-functional and regional teams.
        • Opportunities to build and expand a high-performing partner ecosystem.
        • Competitive compensation and benefits package, subject to applicable employment terms and location.
        • Professional growth opportunities within a global technology and industrial environment.
