Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a OFCI Procurement Manager based in United States.

This role leads the technical and commercial procurement of Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment for mission-critical data center projects.

You will oversee long-lead, high-reliability electrical, mechanical, and controls equipment while ensuring alignment with demanding performance and availability requirements.

The position sits at the intersection of engineering, construction, procurement, logistics, vendors, and commissioning teams.

You will influence critical project milestones by managing equipment specifications, supplier selection, manufacturing, testing, delivery, and installation readiness.

The role requires strong technical judgment and commercial expertise to manage complex supplier relationships, risks, schedules, and interfaces.

You will work remotely across geographically distributed projects in a fast-moving environment focused on large-scale AI and data center infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to play a direct role in delivering resilient infrastructure that supports increasingly demanding compute and AI workloads.

Accountabilities:

    • Define OFCI equipment scope in collaboration with data center design, engineering, and construction teams.
    • Review and validate technical specifications, single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment datasheets to ensure alignment with project requirements.
    • Ensure critical equipment complies with data center design criteria, including redundancy, fault tolerance, Tier requirements, and uptime targets.
    • Manage technical clarifications, deviations, vendor compliance matrices, and engineering interfaces throughout procurement.
    • Issue RFQs and RFPs for critical data center infrastructure and lead technical and commercial bid evaluations with engineering stakeholders.
    • Conduct vendor technical interviews and design alignment workshops and negotiate contracts covering performance guarantees, availability, FAT requirements, delivery milestones, and warranties.
    • Manage procurement and delivery of long-lead electrical equipment such as generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, and busways.
    • Oversee procurement of mechanical systems including chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, and heat exchangers.
    • Manage controls and monitoring equipment such as BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and protection and control systems.
    • Monitor vendor engineering, manufacturing, and testing schedules while reviewing vendor drawings, protection studies, and control logic.
    • Coordinate and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests, integrated systems testing where applicable, and equipment inspections.
    • Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and technical change control throughout the equipment lifecycle.
    • Develop logistics strategies for oversized and critical equipment, including international shipping, customs clearance, and just-in-time delivery.
    • Ensure appropriate equipment preservation, storage, and environmental controls at project sites and support installation readiness and contractor handover.
    • Track long-lead items and procurement activities against the project critical path and proactively mitigate capacity, lead-time, factory, and supply chain risks.
    • Coordinate interfaces between OFCI equipment and contractor-installed systems while providing detailed procurement and risk reporting to project leadership.
    • Ensure the completeness of as-built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, and other required closeout materials.
    • Support commissioning, integrated systems testing, turnover to operations, and final closeout of OFCI packages in accordance with operational requirements.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and technical training.
      • At least 5 years of experience in technical procurement or engineering within data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
      • Proven experience procuring long-lead, high-reliability OFCI equipment.
      • Strong understanding of critical power and cooling systems used in mission-critical facilities.
      • Experience with Factory Acceptance Tests, commissioning activities, and contractor coordination.
      • Strong technical bid evaluation and vendor compliance management capabilities.
      • Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering documentation, equipment datasheets, and system designs.
      • Strong project coordination, risk management, commercial negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
      • Ability to manage complex procurement activities, competing priorities, technical interfaces, and supply chain risks.
      • Experience working effectively across engineering, construction, procurement, vendors, contractors, and project leadership.
      • Hyperscale or colocation data center experience is a plus.
      • Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards or equivalent reliability frameworks is an advantage.
      • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide appropriate employment eligibility documentation.
      • Benefits:

        • Base compensation range of $107,100-$133,800 USD.
        • 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and families.
        • 401(k) plan with up to a 4% company match and immediate vesting.
        • 20 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 12 weeks for secondary caregivers.
        • Up to $85 per month in remote work reimbursement for mobile and internet expenses.
        • Company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance.
        • Remote work model supporting geographically distributed data center projects.
        • Career growth and learning opportunities in a rapidly evolving AI infrastructure environment.
        • Flexibility and ownership within a collaborative and innovative workplace.
        • Opportunity to contribute to impactful AI and data center infrastructure projects in an international environment.
