Oracle Apps Technical Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle Apps Technical Consultant based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the core of enterprise technology, designing and supporting solutions built on Oracle E-Business Suite.

You will translate business requirements into reliable, scalable, and technically robust applications and integrations.

The position combines hands-on development, customization, data management, production support, and performance optimization.

You will collaborate closely with functional consultants, business users, and technical stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, customize, maintain, and support Oracle E-Business Suite R12 components in line with technical standards and business requirements.
• Develop and maintain RICE components, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows.
• Create and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and other database objects.
• Develop and customize Oracle Forms, Oracle Application Framework (OAF) pages, and ADF components where required.
• Configure, customize, troubleshoot, and maintain Oracle Workflow Builder processes.
• Design and develop integrations between Oracle EBS and third-party or external applications using appropriate interfaces and APIs.
• Perform data migrations and conversions using SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle-standard tools, while investigating and resolving data inconsistencies and reconciliation issues.
• Provide production support by analyzing incidents, implementing bug fixes, resolving concurrent program failures, and addressing database-related issues.
• Monitor and optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL programs, and database operations to improve application performance and reliability.
• Work closely with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
• Contribute to system scalability, maintainability, and compliance with Oracle development and architecture standards.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and its technical architecture.
• Advanced expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, including procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and database objects.
• Practical experience developing and supporting RICE components, Oracle Reports, interfaces, APIs, and concurrent programs.
• Experience with BI Publisher, including XML and RTF templates.
• Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Forms, OAF, ADF, and Workflow Builder is highly valuable.
• Understanding of Oracle EBS integrations and experience working with external or third-party systems.
• Experience performing data migration, data conversion, reconciliation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Knowledge of Oracle database performance tuning, including SQL query optimization and PL/SQL performance improvements.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and deliver practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with functional teams and business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage production issues effectively, prioritize competing requirements, and work with a high degree of ownership and attention to detail.
