This is an opportunity for a junior backend developer to build scalable software that supports a high-volume digital marketplace.
You will join a Customer Experience team focused on creating fluid, reliable, and scalable experiences for users.
The role offers hands-on exposure to the full software lifecycle, from development through production.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver high-quality features with meaningful business impact.

Accountabilities
- Develop scalable backend solutions using software engineering best practices, established development patterns, and a strong focus on quality and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain solutions that support high availability, performance, and sustainable scalability.
- Work with organic traffic and contribute to systems designed to handle evolving user demand.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, develop, test, and deliver high-quality features.
- Participate in the complete software lifecycle, from development through production, gaining practical experience with real-world systems.
- Apply appropriate data structures and resource-conscious development practices to improve application performance and efficiency.
- Maintain clean, standardized, readable, and easily maintainable code.
- Contribute to testing, version control, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
- Take ownership of assigned deliveries while balancing autonomy with responsibility for business and customer outcomes.
- Strong analytical thinking and logical reasoning skills, particularly when diagnosing and solving technical problems.
- Understanding of conscious software development practices, including efficient resource usage, performance considerations, and classic data structures.
- Theoretical knowledge of software engineering best practices and development processes, especially testing and version control.
- Attention to code quality, consistency, readability, and maintainability.
- Knowledge of Git and source-code versioning practices.
- Basic knowledge of Node.js.
- Experience or academic/project exposure to an application throughout its lifecycle, from development to production.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and their ceremonies and ways of working.
- Basic knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and automated testing is desirable.
- Understanding of scalable service or data architectures is an advantage.
- Experience with containers, continuous integration, and/or production systems running on AWS is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams while communicating clearly and taking ownership of assigned work.
