Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Procurement Manager based in United States.

This role is responsible for strengthening procurement operations and ensuring reliable access to critical components, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

You will serve as a key point of contact for strategic vendors, managing relationships, pricing, lead times, purchase orders, and supply chain risks.

The position combines hands-on procurement execution with data-driven sourcing intelligence and operational problem-solving.

You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Compliance, and senior leadership to protect manufacturing schedules and customer commitments.

The role offers the opportunity to improve supplier performance, reduce costs, develop sourcing resilience, and contribute to enterprise systems initiatives.

Working remotely, you will collaborate across regions and travel up to 20% to support suppliers, manufacturing partners, company sites, and industry events.

This is an impactful opportunity for a self-directed procurement professional who thrives in a fast-moving, innovation-focused environment.

Accountabilities:

As Procurement Manager, you will own day-to-day supplier and procurement activities while providing accurate information and proactive support to broader operations.

    • Manage relationships with key component suppliers and contract manufacturers, including regular communication, supplier reviews, performance tracking, onboarding, and escalation.
    • Maintain accurate pricing, freight, tariff, volume adjustment, and lead-time information for critical components.
    • Build historical pricing and lead-time records to support quoting, negotiations, budgeting, cost recovery, and commercial decisions.
    • Identify alternative sources for constrained, single-sourced, or high-risk components and support supplier qualification initiatives.
    • Track open purchase orders and shipments, identify risks early, and coordinate corrective actions, expediting, partial shipments, or routing changes when necessary.
    • Communicate supply chain risks proactively to manufacturing, service, commercial, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
    • Own the purchase order lifecycle, including creation, updates, pricing reconciliation, receiving issues, invoicing discrepancies, credit notes, and adjustment POs.
    • Maintain accurate vendor, item, and purchase order data across enterprise resource planning and product lifecycle management systems.
    • Contribute procurement expertise to ERP, PLM, and service management system implementations and migrations.
    • Support engineering change processes involving component substitutions, supplier changes, and bill of materials updates.
    • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Compliance, Finance, and executive leadership on procurement and supply chain initiatives.
    • Conduct root-cause reviews following significant supply disruptions and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
    • Maintain discretion when handling confidential supplier pricing, contract terms, internal cost information, and customer-facing pricing decisions.
    • Travel up to 20% to support supplier relationships, manufacturing partners, company sites, and industry events.
    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong procurement expertise with analytical discipline, supplier management capabilities, and the ability to operate independently in a remote manufacturing environment.

      • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
      • 5-10 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
      • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-country operations is strongly preferred.
      • Demonstrated experience managing the complete purchase order lifecycle and resolving supplier, pricing, receiving, and invoicing issues.
      • Proven experience managing supplier relationships through structured communication, performance reviews, negotiations, and escalations.
      • Experience with materials planning and inventory management frameworks such as JIT and MRP.
      • Professional procurement or supply chain certification such as CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, or equivalent is preferred.
      • Direct experience with Epicor, particularly in a manufacturing procurement and inventory environment.
      • Experience with international sourcing, including suppliers in Europe and Asia, as well as import logistics, tariffs, customs documentation, and Incoterms.
      • Proven experience delivering measurable cost reductions involving expedite costs, freight, purchase price variance, or supplier-driven obsolescence.
      • Experience supporting an ERP implementation or migration within a manufacturing organization.
      • Experience supervising or mentoring procurement, materials planning, or purchasing staff.
      • Familiarity with HVAC, data center cooling, industrial equipment, or related manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
      • Working knowledge of a European language is preferred.
      • Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as Epicor, SAP, INFOR, NetSuite, or comparable systems.
      • Familiarity with PLM platforms such as Arena PLM or equivalent systems.
      • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including analytical workbooks, pivot tables, and functions for managing procurement and shipment data.
      • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence and reporting tools.
      • Strong written and verbal communication, relationship management, negotiation, and analytical skills.
      • Exceptional attention to detail when working with pricing, quantities, part numbers, purchase orders, and supplier data.
      • Ability to manage multiple suppliers, purchase orders, escalations, and reporting deadlines simultaneously.
      • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively across time zones, and remain composed under commercial pressure.
      • Strong professional discretion when handling confidential commercial and financial information.
      • Benefits:

        • Full-time, fully remote position in the United States.
        • Flexible and autonomous working environment.
        • Up to 20% travel for supplier, manufacturing, company site, and industry-related activities.
        • Fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture focused on innovation and sustainable infrastructure.
        • Opportunity to work alongside experienced and highly talented professionals.
        • Growth and professional development opportunities.
        • Exposure to international suppliers and manufacturing operations.
        • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact through sustainable technology and infrastructure solutions.
        • Collaborative culture centered on respect, learning, excellence, and continuous improvement.
