Senior AI Engineer | GenAI, Azure, Python & AI Foundry

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AI Engineer | GenAI, Azure, Python & AI Foundry based in Brazil.

This is a senior, hands-on opportunity to help build and scale a new AI and Digital Engineering capability. You will design and implement end-to-end solutions using Generative AI, LLMs, Python, Azure, and Azure AI Foundry. The role combines deep technical execution with architectural ownership and business-oriented problem solving. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to turn complex challenges into scalable AI solutions. The environment is collaborative, innovative, and globally connected, with significant autonomy in technical decision-making. You will also influence engineering standards, technology choices, and best practices as the AI practice continues to evolve.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the construction and evolution of AI and Digital Engineering solutions, acting as a technical reference for the practice.
• Translate business challenges into practical, scalable, and measurable Artificial Intelligence solutions, from initial concept through implementation.
• Design and develop Generative AI and LLM-based applications using primarily Python, Django, React, Azure, and Azure AI Foundry.
• Define scalable, secure, maintainable, and sustainable solution architectures, considering integration, performance, governance, and long-term maintenance.
• Integrate AI models and services through APIs and modern application architectures, ensuring reliable production-ready implementations.
• Work autonomously with technical and business stakeholders, contributing to solution design, technical decisions, and delivery strategies.
• Evaluate emerging AI and cloud technologies and contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, best practices, and technical strategies.
• Support the development of enterprise-scale AI capabilities, with attention to security, governance, MLOps, CI/CD, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

• Solid professional experience in Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technology field, with a strong hands-on development background.
• Advanced practical experience with Python and application development using Django or comparable frameworks.
• Professional experience with Microsoft Azure, preferably including Azure AI Foundry.
• Proven experience developing Generative AI and LLM solutions, including integration with AI models and APIs.
• Experience with React or other modern front-end development frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of solution architecture and the ability to design scalable, secure, maintainable, and sustainable systems.
• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical and AI-driven solutions.
• Senior, autonomous, and hands-on profile, capable of leading initiatives and making technical decisions with limited supervision.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
• Fluent English is required for direct interaction with global teams and stakeholders.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is desirable.
• Experience with C#/.NET, Databricks, MLflow, MLOps, and CI/CD is considered a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with AI Agents, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP (Model Context Protocol), or similar technologies is a plus.
• Experience with AI governance, security, enterprise architecture, and implementation of AI solutions at scale will further strengthen your profile.
