The role centers on backend development in Python, with a strong focus on APIs, services, integrations, and AI orchestration.

You will work closely with frontend, product, platform, and integration teams to embed AI seamlessly into existing workflows.

Your work will directly influence automation, customer insights, and the way users interact with AI-powered product capabilities.

You will also help evolve the technical foundation supporting LLM integrations, observability, and production reliability.

This is a fully remote opportunity for an EMEA-based engineer looking to make a meaningful impact at the intersection of backend engineering and AI.

Accountabilities

• Design and build backend services that integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing product features.
• Develop performant, scalable APIs and backend services that connect AI outputs with SaaS functionality and customer workflows.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to create intuitive and valuable AI-driven user experiences.
• Partner with platform and integration teams to embed AI capabilities into existing systems, services, and workflows.
• Implement observability, monitoring, error handling, and reliability practices for AI services operating in production.
• Contribute to the evolution of the AI integration stack, including Python SDKs, MCP servers, and LLM orchestration.
• Help ensure AI-powered features are seamlessly integrated into the wider SaaS platform and deliver smarter, faster, and more personalized customer workflows.
• Become a trusted engineering partner for AI product integration across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, ideally within a SaaS environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade backend services.
• Solid experience working with REST APIs and SaaS integrations.
• Familiarity with modern LLM and AI development tools and frameworks, such as LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, and MCP servers.
• Comfortable working alongside Python-based AI services and bridging different technology stacks.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, scalable services, API development, and production reliability.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, platform, frontend, and integration teams.
• Experience with PHP and/or Golang is considered a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, international environment and collaborate with colleagues and internal customers across EMEA.
