Accountabilities
Drive technical excellence, engineering standards, and development best practices across the team.
Design, develop, maintain, and document high-quality software across existing systems and new platforms.
Make informed architectural recommendations based on technical requirements, business objectives, scalability, and reliability considerations.
Develop and maintain solutions using .NET, C#, Entity Framework, SQL, Redis, microservices, SignalR, distributed event bus technologies, and related platforms.
Support monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing reliability of critical infrastructure.
Design and implement manual and automated testing strategies to minimize defects and improve software quality.
Apply Domain Driven Design and appropriate software engineering patterns to create maintainable and scalable solutions.
Leverage Microsoft Azure services and CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery and deployment.
Use GenAI workflows where appropriate to enhance development, testing, documentation, and engineering productivity.
Produce clear technical documentation covering requirements, architecture, implementation decisions, and system traceability.
Participate actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile development activities.
Communicate project status, technical risks, issues, and recommendations proactively to relevant stakeholders.
Coach and support other engineers, helping teammates develop their technical capabilities and succeed.
Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, business users, project managers, and other engineers to achieve shared objectives.
Research and evaluate new technologies and approaches that can improve technical solutions, system performance, and development practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
8+ years of professional experience working with the .NET technology stack, including C#, .NET, Entity Framework, SQL, and Redis.
At least 3 years of experience with SignalR and distributed event bus technologies.
At least 3 years of experience implementing Domain Driven Design (DDD) patterns.
At least 3 years of experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft Azure cloud services.
In-depth understanding of software engineering design and architectural patterns, including microservice architectures.
Advanced proficiency with Git in multi-developer development environments.
Strong experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Microsoft DevOps.
Demonstrated ability to apply GenAI workflows to software development and testing activities.
Strong software testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, and system reliability skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and constructively challenge technical approaches.
Experience working with distributed teams that include onshore and offshore contributors.
Ability to operate as a strong individual contributor while coaching, mentoring, and enabling other engineers.
Strong critical-thinking and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance competing technical and business requirements.
Comfortable working through uncertainty, evaluating new approaches, and delivering practical solutions without unnecessary overengineering.
Strong interest in optimization, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
