Senior Software Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Developer based in India.

This is a senior full-stack engineering role with the opportunity to make a direct impact on products, development practices, and technical delivery.

You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from designing and building solutions through testing and production deployment.

The role focuses on modern web technologies, scalable backend services, relational databases, and high-quality engineering practices.

You will take ownership of core components, help establish reusable solutions, and ensure code remains maintainable and aligned with best practices.

Working remotely, you will collaborate with an engineering team while also operating with a high degree of independence and accountability.

The position is well suited to an experienced developer who combines strong technical fundamentals with critical thinking and effective communication.

You will also have opportunities to work with cloud, containerization, and additional technologies such as AWS, Docker, Redis, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.

Accountabilities:

• Contribute across all facets of software development, including solution design, development, testing, optimization, and deployment.
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, Redux, HTML, and CSS.
• Design and build robust REST API backends that support reliable and scalable application functionality.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and other database components for relational database environments.
• Develop reusable core components and technical solutions that can be leveraged effectively by other members of the engineering team.
• Optimize application code and system performance to ensure solutions are production-ready and reliable.
• Maintain clean, maintainable code structures aligned with established software engineering best practices.
• Use Git and appropriate development workflows to manage source code and support effective collaboration.
• Apply strong computer science fundamentals and sound technical judgment when solving complex engineering problems.
• Take ownership of technical decisions, remain accountable for implementation outcomes, and work independently when required.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, Redux, HTML, CSS, and relational databases.
• Strong and proven understanding of core Computer Science concepts and software engineering principles.
• Practical experience writing SQL queries, procedures, functions, and related database logic.
• Experience designing and developing REST API backends.
• Strong knowledge of Git and modern software development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize code for production deployments and maintain high standards of code quality.
• Ability to take ownership of technical components, make sound decisions, and remain accountable for results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other team members.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with AWS, Java, .NET, Redis, Docker, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL is considered an advantage.
