As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will help ensure complex distributed systems perform reliably under real-world conditions.

You will design and implement sophisticated automated testing solutions across web and console-based applications.

The role combines software engineering, test automation, systems knowledge, and continuous improvement to strengthen product quality.

You will collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and international cross-functional teams to solve challenging technical problems.

You will also contribute to testing strategy while mentoring engineers and evaluating emerging technologies in test infrastructure.

Accountabilities:

• Develop and contribute to comprehensive system test plans that provide strong, effective test coverage and support reliable software releases.
• Design, develop, and deploy automated system tests capable of reproducing realistic production scenarios and complex system behaviors.
• Improve testing methodologies, frameworks, and procedures to increase automation efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
• Review product and system requirements to validate the accuracy and completeness of test plans, test cases, and overall quality strategies.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in an international environment.
• Investigate technical challenges and contribute to solutions for large-scale distributed systems and their associated web and console interfaces.
• Guide and mentor less experienced engineers, helping them implement effective, scalable, and high-quality testing solutions.
• Research emerging testing technologies, tools, and infrastructure practices and assess opportunities to improve the overall engineering process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional experience developing test automation using Python, Perl, shell scripting, or comparable programming technologies.
• Strong experience working with Linux or Unix-like operating systems.
• Solid understanding of common internet and networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and/or TLS/SSL.
• Experience with Git/Stash and Perforce or similar version-control systems.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, automation practices, and system-level quality engineering.
• Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into effective test strategies and automated test cases.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with an ability to troubleshoot issues in distributed systems.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge and support other engineers.
