This is a senior technical leadership role focused on shaping scalable, reliable software products and engineering practices.
You will tackle complex technical challenges while remaining deeply involved in architecture, coding, reviews, and delivery.
The role offers the opportunity to influence distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, APIs, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
You will also help advance data and AI capabilities by partnering with teams working on analytics, ML, and LLM services.
Beyond your own technical contributions, you will mentor engineers and establish patterns that make teams more effective.
Working closely with product and engineering leadership, you will help align technical decisions with strategic roadmap priorities.

Accountabilities:
- Own and solve some of the most challenging technical problems, proactively identifying gaps and stepping in where needed to help engineering teams meet commitments.
- Design, develop, and evolve core technical patterns that guide software development across products and platforms.
- Write high-quality production code, prototypes, reference implementations, and reusable components.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance through pair programming, architecture and design reviews, and code reviews.
- Lead the design and implementation of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, API solutions, and multi-tenant SaaS patterns.
- Partner with data and AI teams to integrate applications with data pipelines, analytics platforms, and ML or LLM services.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, architectural gaps, and technical risks, then drive pragmatic and scalable solutions.
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives that improve the architecture, codebase, reliability, performance, and delivery velocity.
- Mentor engineers and promote a culture of learning through clear technical patterns, constructive reviews, and hands-on collaboration.
- Serve as a trusted technical partner to product and engineering leaders on complex or high-risk initiatives.
- Work closely with product leadership to ensure the technical foundation supports and accelerates roadmap delivery.
- Deep experience as a hands-on Staff-level engineer working with distributed systems at scale.
- Strong background in cloud-native engineering, with experience in AWS and/or Azure preferred.
- Solid expertise in microservices architecture and SaaS development patterns.
- Experience building or supporting data and AI workloads, including integrations with machine learning or LLM services.
- Demonstrated ability to design robust technical solutions and translate complex engineering challenges into clear, actionable approaches.
- Strong software development skills and the ability to remain actively involved in coding and technical implementation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, data, and AI teams.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and raise engineering standards across an organization.
- Strong judgment and pragmatism when evaluating technical risks, architectural decisions, and competing priorities.
- Annual salary of $180,000-$200,000, with compensation varying based on geographic market, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
