This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President of Net New Sales - Medium Enterprise based in the United States.
This senior sales leadership role is focused on driving new business growth across the medium-enterprise market in the South region.
You’ll leverage deep expertise in the Workday ecosystem to identify opportunities, build strategic relationships, and lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through close.
The role combines consultative selling, sales strategy, forecasting, contracting, and close collaboration with field sales and delivery teams.
You’ll work directly with enterprise customers and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop tailored professional services solutions.
Your performance will have a direct impact on pipeline development, revenue growth, quota attainment, and long-term customer relationships.

This position can be based remotely in the United States, with up to 50% travel required across customer and partner locations.
Accountabilities
- Partner closely with the Workday field net-new sales organization to identify new opportunities, develop co-selling strategies, and expand the qualified sales pipeline.
- Own and manage the complete sales cycle across an assigned South region territory, from lead generation and prospect engagement through negotiation and close.
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate effective relationships with prospects, customers, Workday stakeholders, and internal teams throughout the sales process.
- Manage multiple concurrent sales cycles while maintaining accurate forecasts, strong pipeline discipline, and consistent sales execution.
- Build and execute sales strategies designed to achieve and exceed annual sales quotas.
- Manage services statements of work, proposals, pricing discussions, and the overall contracting process.
- Work with internal delivery and consulting teams to estimate the services, resources, timelines, and scope required for prospective projects.
- Identify customer business requirements and translate them into compelling Workday services and professional services solutions.
- Manage all assigned prospects, leads, opportunities, and pipeline activity while ensuring timely follow-up and progression.
- Provide regular reporting and executive-level visibility into sales activity, pipeline health, forecasts, opportunities, and potential customers.
- Protect and expand existing business opportunities while continuously pursuing new revenue within the assigned territory.
- Support field marketing events, customer engagements, and other activities designed to generate awareness and pipeline.
- Manage multiple projects, sales initiatives, and stakeholder priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel up to 50% to customer sites, partner locations, and other business engagements as required.
- At least 5 years of experience selling Workday solutions or Workday professional services.
- At least 5 years of sales experience within a professional services organization, or 5+ years of consulting delivery experience within an enterprise-class customer environment.
- Extensive sales experience and established expertise within the Workday ecosystem.
- Broad knowledge of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financial Management solutions, including their implementation and delivery.
- Proven track record of selling Workday services across the South region.
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective sales strategies, manage complex sales cycles, negotiate, and consistently close opportunities.
- Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, with a strong focus on new business generation and revenue growth.
- Experience managing and developing opportunities across a large geographic sales territory.
- Ability to collaborate with consulting and delivery teams to accurately estimate services and resources required for prospective engagements.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present effectively at all organizational levels.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, consultative selling, and executive stakeholder management capabilities.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple opportunities, projects, initiatives, and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong forecasting, pipeline management, business development, and commercial judgment.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for customer and partner engagements.
- Ability to work for extended periods at a desk and use a computer as part of daily sales activities.

- Competitive base salary of approximately $140,000-$180,000, depending on experience, skills, training, and other relevant factors.
