Video Editor & Motion Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Video Editor & Motion Designer based in India.

As a Video Editor & Motion Designer, you will combine traditional creative expertise with emerging AI-native production techniques to create high-impact visual content. You will transform podcasts, events, raw footage, and social content into polished, engaging short-form videos and motion experiences. The role requires strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, alongside curiosity and hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI image and video tools. You will help establish new creative workflows and contribute to the development of production tools that redefine how content is created. Your work will influence both the quality of individual projects and the evolution of broader creative processes. This is an early-stage opportunity with significant ownership, autonomy, and room to grow. You will work alongside experienced creative and marketing professionals in a fast-moving, experimental environment.

Accountabilities:

• Edit and produce engaging short-form video content from podcasts, events, original social content, showreels, and other source material.
• Use Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to create polished edits, motion graphics, animations, special effects, and sound-enhanced productions.
• Direct AI-generated video and image assets using modern AI tools, ensuring outputs meet professional, creative, and brand standards.
• Develop eye-catching covers, thumbnails, social posts, and other visual assets designed to capture attention and drive engagement.
• Transform long-form or master content into compelling short-form experiences optimized for digital and social platforms.
• Combine raw footage, animation, visual effects, sound, and AI-generated assets into cohesive final productions.
• Develop creative concepts and visual storytelling approaches that capture attention quickly and communicate ideas effectively.
• Experiment with AI-native production workflows and identify ways to improve creative quality, efficiency, and scalability.
• Contribute creative insights to the development of internal production tools and workflows, helping shape future approaches to content creation.
• Maintain consistent brand alignment, visual quality, and attention to detail across all deliverables.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a consistently high creative standard.
• Stay current with developments in video editing, motion design, animation, generative AI, and emerging creative technologies.
• Collaborate closely with creative, marketing, and other cross-functional professionals to bring projects from concept to completion.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional experience in video editing, motion design, or a related creative production role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to transform diverse content into engaging short-form video with high-quality animation and visual storytelling.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, including strong motion graphics capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered image and video generation tools and an understanding of how to effectively prompt and direct AI models.
• Familiarity with tools such as Seedance, ChatGPT Image 2.0, Gemini Nano Banana Pro, Higgsfield, or comparable generative AI platforms.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, pacing, animation, and audience engagement.
• Excellent eye for detail and a strong instinct for creating visually compelling, on-brand content.
• Experience with Final Cut, Descript, or similar editing and production tools is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently, prioritize effectively, and consistently deliver against deadlines.
• Strong ownership mentality, resourcefulness, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to incorporate feedback and work with creative and marketing stakeholders.
• Genuine curiosity about emerging AI technologies and a willingness to experiment with new production methods.
• Ability to balance creative experimentation with professional standards, brand requirements, and commercial objectives.
