Title: Staff Software Engineer - Indaiatuba/SP - 124438

John Deere is accelerating the evolution of a global digital commerce platform, and we're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help shape its future. Based in our Regional Office in Indaiatuba, São Paulo, Brazil, you will work with technical leads and guide the global eCommerce Storefront Experience team. This hands-on role includes designing scalable solutions, shaping engineering strategy, mentoring teams, and delivering modern digital experiences for customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical design for customer-facing eCommerce applications.
• Develop scalable solutions using React, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, APIs, and cloud technologies.
• Drive engineering best practices, standards, and architectural patterns.
• Partner with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver business value.
• Influence technology roadmaps and key technical decisions.
• Improve platform performance, scalability, reliability, security, and observability.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Contribute hands-on through coding, design reviews, and problem solving.

What Skills You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced English (technical documentation, meetings, and independent communication) with strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Deep experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Experience designing distributed and cloud-native systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience building and scaling enterprise eCommerce platforms.
• Expertise in Micro Frontend architectures.
• Experience with Headless CMS platforms, including CoreMedia.
• Knowledge of Next.js, GraphQL, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience building AI-powered solutions, autonomous workflows, or agentic applications using modern LLM and orchestration frameworks.
