About the Role
Johnson Controls is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Travel Lead Analyst to directly support the Travel, Credit Card and Meetings Event Global Category Managers, in driving operational excellence and data-led decision-making across our corporate travel program. This role blends travel program operations with analytics, helping drive smarter decision-making through data and managing internal and external relationships. You will work closely with our Travel Management Company (TMC) with a strong focus on performance insights, compliance, travel analytics and program reporting. The ideal candidate brings a balance of business intelligence skills, operational rigor, and stakeholder fluency - serving as a key partner to our preferred travel suppliers, and internal stakeholders across procurement, finance, and compliance
Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a first-line escalation contact for complex booking or travel issues.
- Manage and respond to the generic travel Q&A inbox
- Liaise with our TMC and SAP Concur administrators to resolve traveler concerns and ensure service levels are met.
- Partner with AP, Compliance, and regional teams to align reporting, resolve escalations, and support audit readiness.
- Maintain internal content libraries (e.g., preferred supplier lists, travel program guides, policy training)
- Manage suppliers and support category manager with strategic sourcing implementation
- Support Business Continuity Plans (BCP) by deploying actions such as Financial Assessments, Sustainability Surveys, ensuring contracts are executed, among others.
- Other procurement duties as assigned.
Reporting & Analytics
- Analyze travel and expense trends, policy compliance, and supplier performance to identify savings opportunities and risk areas.
- Deliver monthly reporting packages and insights
- Support quarterly business reviews and ad-hoc requests with data visualizations and key takeaways.
Travel Program Strategy & Compliance
- Track policy exceptions and help recommend adjustments to improve governance and adoption.
- Maintain preferred supplier and rate configurations in travel booking tools.
- Assist in preparing benchmarking materials to support supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs such as policy compliance, traveler satisfaction, and cost per trip.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in corporate travel, T&E program management, purchasing or business operations
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI (or similar data visualization tools).
- Familiarity with SAP Concur or other travel/expense systems preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global matrix environment.
