Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and supervise day-to-day site installation & maintenance for telecommunication systems (MDF/IDF, IT rack, cable containment, cross-connection, patching and structured cabling)
• Supervise or Run, lace, pull, and terminate high-density fiber optic and copper cables through overhead cable trays, under raised floors, and into server racks.
• Supervise or execute the physical mounting of network switches, patch panels, and servers, connecting inter-rack and intra-rack cross-connects.
• Prepare and update documentation, including As-built drawings, schematic diagrams, and containment layouts using AutoCAD or similar software
• Ensure that maintenance documentation meets the required standards, including cabling record, patching record, IT asset record.
• Review site requirements, cable route design, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and local electrical/telecom standards
• Maintain strict adherence to industry standards like ANSI/TIA-606-C for labeling, record patching schedules, and update Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software.
• Perform end-to-end cable testing using tools like Fluke tester and verify signal integrity, attenuation, and bandwidth compliance.
• Conduct physical layer audits, trace faulty links, identify signal loss, and resolve connectivity tickets within defined Service Level Agreements
• Enforce safety regulations, manage proper airflow/cable density in high-heat space
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, sub-contractors, IT teams, and vendors to ensure project, operation and site safety requirements are met
• Develop technical guides, site procedures, and conduct hands-on training for the field team

Desired experience and technical skills

• Applicants should have valid working status in Local region
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in structured cabling in data centre
• Industry credentials such as BICSI (RCDD, NTS), CompTIA Network+, or OEM-certified cabling installer credentials (e.g., CommScope, Corning) are highly preferred.
• Experienced with continuous improvement initiatives and preparation of reports.
• Possess good communication and fluency in English
