Job Overview
The Sr. Design & Video Specialist role will support the strategic design and development of materials used across our global sales pursuits, directly impacting revenue opportunities for a Fortune 200 company. This person will work alongside our Graphic Design Directors in the UK and US, our Design Team, and global sales teams in support of our global sales efforts.
This role requires strong skills in stakeholder management, strategic communications, with an emphasis on end-to-end video management, including editing, motion graphics, and a high level of production experience. Additional design responsibilities include designing documents, infographics, sophisticated PowerPoint presentations.
Position requires individual to work with a variety of team contributors including proposal managers, sales leaders and executives, and various levels of management in a virtual capacity. They will work side-by-side with fellow designers on our global design team, taking design direction from our Graphic Design Directors, and maintaining close, day-to-day communication with clients and teams to ensure creative alignment on projects and adherence to best practices. Sr. Design & Video Specialist must seek to understand business objectives, including strategy, audience, and key themes behind more complex design projects, and provide appropriate solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
What this job involves -
- Collaborating with Design Directors and team members across JLL sales and within DCoE, with ‘a win together’ mindset.
- Leading video and motion graphic projects with innovative solutions, video platform expertise, strong project management skills, technical prowess, and future-focused adaptation to new technologies and techniques.
- Demonstrating real creativity with client-branded documents as requested
- Develop multiple design options - as per the brief provided - to achieve stakeholder objectives with “wow” factor.
- Striving to innovate within brand standard guidelines
- Taking full ownership of assigned projects, managing through to completion, ensuring quality and timely services, and providing ongoing communication to the team lead
- Display ability to meet the deadlines - to ensure that the bid-response team can submit the completed document as per broader timelines
- Clearly communicating with, and providing regular updates to stakeholders to ensure that expectations around delivery timelines are carefully managed
- Proofing own work and collaborating with the team to ensure a high degree of accuracy and consistency
- Maintaining design library of previously utilized designs/graphics as well as develop a repository of new ones
Performance objectives
The Sr. Design & Video Specialist should be able to understand the objective and target audience of the projects, and should be able to independently manage video and animation workflows using the brand guidelines, design input, and with minimal art direction.
S/He is expected to deliver original ideas which meet the project brief.
Key skills
- 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a corporate, highly-matrixed environment
- Proficiency with video platform, remote recording platforms, design tools and Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficient in both video editing and graphic animation
- Strong creative vision and visual arts skills
- High attention to detail with consistent high-quality deliverables
- Strong time/project management skills, managing multiple projects within tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate with global stakeholders - to discuss your queries, talk about your design idea, take feedback, etc.
Employee specificatio n
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Digital design/graphics experience from a professional organization
- Expertise in Descript, Social Live, Adobe Premier and/or other video design and editing platforms
- High proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (full Adobe creative suite)
