Position Overview

JLL is seeking a Transaction Manager to support our team for a global client portfolio, responsible for transactions in North America and LATAM regions across primarily office and industrial assets. This role offers flexible working with proximity to an East Coast JLL office preferred.

About the Role

As a Transaction Manager, you will lead and execute real estate lease transactions while fostering client relationships and driving business growth. Working in a high-volume, client-facing environment, you'll manage transactions independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams across various disciplines and business units. As part of a global team supporting North America and LATAM primarily, with occasional support for EMEA and APAC regions, you'll work across time zones and geographies. This role requires expertise in transaction management, market analysis, and client relationship development in a dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive workplace. Travel may be required based on client and transaction needs.

Primary Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as a trusted advisor for client real estate transactions
• Attend and actively participate in client meetings and conference calls
• Continuous improvement of client transaction management processes
• Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve tenant-landlord issues
• Manage building tours and transaction reporting for clients
• Work directly with client stakeholders to understand real estate requirements

Transaction Management

• Independently manage and execute lease transactions with high proficiency
• Select, engage, and manage brokers for lease transactions
• Negotiate favorable economic and flexible lease terms
• Review lease documents, create lease abstracts, and summaries
• Gather and evaluate market data and property information
• Research landlords, companies, and potential subtenants
• Negotiate letters of intent, leases, and other transaction documents
• Prepare commission invoices and track transactions in proprietary systems

Account Performance Support

• Assist Global Portfolio Services Lead and Account Director in managing client deliverables
• Create and maintain financial reports and key performance metrics
• Ensure accuracy of portfolio data
• Develop occupancy cost-saving strategies
• Evaluate alternative occupancy solutions and financial structures
• Manage surrender of premises or decommissioning projects when needed

Industry-Specific Knowledge

Office & Industrial: Knowledge of commercial real estate market fundamentals including market analysis, rental rate trends, lease structures, vacancy rates, and competitive positioning. Understanding of workplace strategy, office space planning and industrial property types (warehouse, distribution, light industrial).

Requirements

• 9+ years of commercial real estate transactions or leasing experience
• Active real estate brokerage or salesperson's license preferred
• Knowledge of real estate and lease terminology
• Strong negotiation skills and transaction execution experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or related field
• Experience in corporate real estate with understanding of client service requirements
• Strong analytical abilities, both financial and qualitative

• Expertise with complex commercial lease structures

• Proficiency with TME, CoStar and other specialized real estate databases

Expected compensation for this position:

70,000.00 - 78,475.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
