Process Improvement Associate I

Job summary

As a Process Improvement Associate I within the Process Automation team, you will design and deliver automation and reporting solutions that reduce manual effort and enhance operational insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders to elicit requirements, produce solution documentation, and manage end-to-end delivery from intake through production, ensuring appropriate controls, approvals, and audit readiness.

Job responsibilities

• Manage delivery of multiple small-to-medium initiatives, coordinating stakeholders and keeping work on track.
• Gather and clarify requirements, confirming scope, success measures, and key decisions needed.
• Produce clear delivery documentation, including business requirements documents, solution designs, process maps, and procedures.
• Design and build automation workflows using Alteryx in alignment with defined requirements and controls.
• Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reporting solutions, such as dashboards, scorecards, and operational reporting.
• Perform data analysis and validation to support reporting accuracy, trend analysis, and root-cause exploration.
• Provide executive-ready status updates, including timelines, risks, dependencies, and approvals required.
• Identify risks and issues early, escalate appropriately, and support corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Execute defined testing activities, including test execution, defect documentation, retest coordination, and user acceptance testing support.
• Assess process impacts and recommend additional stakeholder engagement to address workflow gaps, change impacts, and operational readiness.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• 2 years of experience in business analysis, delivery, process improvement, controls, process automation, business reporting, or data analysis.
• Experience building automation workflows using Alteryx.
• Alteryx Core Certification.
• Experience with Python for automation and data analysis.
• Experience with SQL for querying and analysis.
• Experience creating business requirements documents and solution design documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) for analysis, documentation, and presentations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders across levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently and coordinate work across a matrixed environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Experience supporting reporting or automation in a consumer finance, servicing, or operations environment.
• Experience with business intelligence and automation tools such as Qlik and Power Platform tools.
• Familiarity with workflow and e-signature tools used in operations environments.
