Job Description :
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) - Ironclad CLM will lead business process discovery and translate contracting needs into clear, scalable, and build-ready business requirements. Working across Legal, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, Digital Solutions, and implementation partners, the BSA will facilitate process decisions, define future-state workflows and system handoffs, support contract migration planning and data requirements, and help establish sustainable governance and operating practices.
Core Responsibilities :
Business Systems Analysis & Solution Design :
- Lead cross-functional discovery workshops with Legal, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, and technical stakeholders.
- Document current-state processes, pain points, gaps, controls, dependencies, and business requirements.
- Define scalable future-state contracting processes and workflows.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and drive alignment on key process and solution decisions.
Discovery & Design Artifacts :
- Lead the completion and quality review of Ironclad discovery workbooks and related design artifacts.
- Document and validate requirements related to workflow discovery, launch forms, contract properties, metadata, approval processes, signatures, permissions, repository requirements, and business rules.
Requirements & Design Documentation :
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable business requirements, user stories, process maps, business rules, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability of requirements, assumptions, decisions, risks, dependencies, and open questions.
Workflow Solution Design :
- Define business requirements for contract templates, intake forms, metadata, approval routing, standard clauses, permissions, and negotiation workflows.
- Partner with the Ironclad Platform Administrator and implementation resources.
Integration Requirements & Process Handoffs :
- Define business requirements for integrations, including triggering events, source-of-record ownership, field mappings, approval dependencies, and exception paths.
Testing & Release Management :
- Develop UAT scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate testing activities and validate that configured solutions meet business requirements.
Ironclad Migration & Data Architecture :
- Collaborate with technical leads and Legal Operations to define contract taxonomies, metadata schemas, record types, and repository structures.
- Support end-to-end migration of legacy contracts, data mapping, staging, and bulk ingestion activities.
- Conduct post-migration data validation and reconciliation.
Change Management, Enablement & Training :
- Develop and execute change-management activities to transition teams to automated workflows.
- Design and deliver role-based training for Sales, Legal, and Approvers.
- Create enablement materials including quick-reference guides, video walkthroughs, and process playbooks.
Required Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Legal Operations Systems Analyst, or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience translating business needs into requirements, user stories, and process maps.
- Ability to lead cross-functional discovery workshops and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Experience supporting enterprise or CLM data migrations and data quality analysis.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise software implementations and developing training materials.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Hands-on experience with Ironclad CLM (Workflow Designer, Repository management).
- Ironclad Certified Administrator or Workflow Specialist certification.
- Familiarity with CLM integrations (Salesforce, Coupa, Oracle Fusion, DocuSign).
- Exposure to AI capabilities (Smart Import, AI Assist, Playbooks).
