Role Overview

The Principal Product Manager (Marketing) exists to drive JumpCloud's market presence, packaging, and competitive positioning to accelerate global growth. In this high-impact role, you will lead the strategic alignment of our pricing and packaging models while enabling our global sales team with the tools, positioning, and competitive insights they need to win. Serving as a key evangelist, you will translate complex platform capabilities into compelling market narratives and lead cross-functional initiatives across sales, product, and go-to-market teams. Ultimately, you will solve critical business problems by elevating our thought leadership and scaling our market reach.

Major Performance Objectives

Measurable outcomes for the first 6-12 months:

• 6-Month Integration & Asset Delivery: Within the first 6 months, fully integrate into the marketing and product teams to deliver at least 3 high-value assets and incorporate JumpCloud's thought leadership and positioning across key marketing channels.

• Pricing & Packaging Strategy: Within 9 months, analyze, optimize, and roll out an updated pricing and packaging strategy that simplifies customer onboarding and maximizes average contract value (ACV).

• Sales Enablement & Competitive Differentiation: By month 12, equip the global sales organization with comprehensive competitive differentiators and positioning assets, resulting in increased win rates against key competitors.

• Platform Evangelism & Thought Leadership: Establish yourself as a core external speaker for JumpCloud within 12 months, delivering at least 4 public demos or presentations across multiple platform feature sets.

• AI-Driven Process Optimization: Within 12 months, build out and scale at least 2 AI-leveraged processes or tools to support the marketing team’s execution, while collaborating with the AI steering committee to deploy sales-driven assets that accelerate deal velocity.

Critical Subtasks:

Supporting activities to achieve objectives:

• Collaborate with product management, sales, and executive leadership to audit and refine current pricing and packaging models.

• Conduct deep-dive competitive intelligence research to identify clear market differentiators and map out the competitive landscape.

• Author and deliver high-impact enablement assets (such as pitch decks, battlecards, and demo scripts) for the global sales team.

• Partner with the AI steering committee to identify, develop, and deploy AI-driven assets and workflows that accelerate sales deal cycles.

• Master the JumpCloud platform to effortlessly deliver comprehensive, multi-feature technical demos to customers, partners, and industry analysts.

• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across the sales, product, and go-to-market (GTM) motions to ensure unified messaging.

• Represent JumpCloud as a speaker and thought leader at industry events, webinars, and executive briefings.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must-have functional skills:

  • Product Marketing and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy execution

  • Strategic pricing and packaging design for SaaS or platform technologies

  • Advanced sales enablement, competitive intelligence, and positioning asset creation

  • Preferred domain knowledge:

    • Identity and Access Management (IAM), Directory Services, or Cloud Security

    • SaaS business models and developer/IT buyer personas

    • Tools or systems knowledge:

      • Modern AI productivity tools and workflow automation platforms

      • Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM and marketing automation systems

      • Behavioral or power skills:

        • Exceptional public speaking, storytelling, and evangelism capabilities

        • Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building across sales, product, and GTM teams

        • High degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and process-building capability
