Join our Holiday HQ OSHC team at Helping Hands Cedar Creek and help create exciting, engaging, and unforgettable experiences for primary school children during school holidays.

Whether you're a university student looking to build a career in teaching, psychology, social work or childcare, or a teacher's aide looking for school holiday work, this role is designed to fit your lifestyle. Gain valuable hands-on experience with primary school-aged children while we work around your university timetable, placements, and other commitments.

This role will mainly work Holiday HQ shifts across school holidays, block shifts 6am-6pm.

Who are we looking for?

While we’re happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we’re looking for:

  • Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
  • Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
  • A genuine love for working with children.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
  • Must have valid Australian work rights.
