About the Role:
At KAFKAS, the Category Manager drives category growth and profitability by shaping product strategy and developing a competitive portfolio across B2B and B2C markets.
Combining market insights with commercial analysis, the role focuses on optimizing product assortment, pricing, and availability to maximize business performance and unlock new growth opportunities.
Leading a team of two direct reports, the Category Manager works closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to strengthen market positioning and deliver sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies, product roadmaps, and portfolio plans aligned with business objectives
- Manage product assortment and lifecycle, identifying opportunities for portfolio expansion, optimization, and standardization
- Monitor sales performance, including sell-in and sell-out, gross margin by material, and inventory levels, taking action to improve commercial results
- Contribute to pricing decisions, product line-up planning, and category profitability
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and support innovation
- Ensure accurate and complete product information across available channels, including specifications, images, and commercial content
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, including Demand Planning, Marketing, and Material, to ensure product availability and effective portfolio management
- Lead and develop a team of two direct reports, setting priorities, coordinating activities, and monitoring performance
- Support go-to-market initiatives, key accounts, and strategic partnerships to strengthen category performance and business growth
What We’re Looking For:
- 4-5 years of experience in Category Management or a related commercial role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of Power BI
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with different teams
- Leadership, organizational, and prioritization skills.
