Marketing Automation Manager

Kahoot! is looking for a Marketing Automation Manager based in our Barcelona office.

As a Marketing Automation Manager, you will own the marketing automation infrastructure that powers Kahoot!'s CX and Marketing lifecycle communications. This is a maternity cover position with full ownership of a critical function from day one.

You will report directly to the Manager, Marketing Ops.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Own marketing automation end-to-end: campaign builds, journeys, and segmentation.
• Lead marketing automation platform strategy, including builds, migrations, and ongoing evolution.
• Hold the standard on email quality, layout consistency, deliverability, and send-logic governance across all automated communications.
• Standardise automation reporting across campaign, journey, and cohort dimensions to support CX-wide decision-making.
• Act as the team's go-to expert on email and automation, setting quality benchmarks and mentoring teammates.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Design, Online Comms, and Commercial teams to deliver well-executed lifecycle programs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in marketing automation, CRM, or lifecycle marketing.
• Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (Iterable, Braze, or similar); fluency in journey logic, segmentation, and send-logic governance.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS as applied to email templates and automation workflows.
• Strong understanding of email deliverability, quality standards, and lifecycle best practices.
• Experience with automation reporting across campaign, journey, and cohort dimensions.
• Demonstrated experience building AI-powered workflows, whether for personal productivity, team processes, or marketing operations. You have already integrated AI tools into how you work, not just experimented with them.
• Excellent communication skills; proficiency in English is a must.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
